Chereads / Ayden and Theodre tribe / Chapter 41 - Last day

Chapter 41 - Last day

I didn't do much anything for the rest of my school year. The mental pain was something that I had not experienced before. All the voices messing with my head, that if I didn't use realm magic, I would have gone insane.

Later on, I also found out, that every time, that a villager died. I would get a headache, I didn't know this before because they didn't die in big groups. Now however over half of the people died and regular headache times ten thousand hurts.

The most surprising this was how much my strength grew. I thought that, the more I intervene with the world, the less strength I would get from their achievements. I however grew strong. I was stronger than before and I could feel it.

There seems to be other conditions, about which I don't know. I would find them all eventually but right now, I can't find them out. Because even Theodre tribe didn't seem to know about them. That is, if they didn't lie in the history book.

I should ask mom, when I get home. It's the last day of school. There is no big party because the third years can graduate at winter, not before summer. Some dorms have parties and such but I've not gotten an invitation so I guess not.

The first year summer is important, because at fall. Almost immediately there was the dorm tournament. It was a friendly battle between all dorms. Summer was to grow in experience and to get better equipment and even grow your magic.

I had no interest in that, I only wanted to go home. I wanted to ask mom questions, like: How her time was, was she lonely, does she need help etc. I wanted to spend time like we always had and get more love that I had never gotten before.

Ben would go to some summer school, made for servants of nobles and young prodigies. So if I was with Ben, I would know all nobles and important people without learning them myself. I wasn't that popular either so I probably wouldn't even meet anyone without Ben.

The last week was the most boring out of all the rest of the classes. I had read the books of alchemy and artifacts and because the teacher didn't plan anything else, I was free to do anything I wanted during class time.

Artifact and alchemy classes actually had only 5 members each, everyone else had left. I also considered it but I knew that this would be useful so I continued. Now that we had studied the theory behind the subjects, next year we would to real artifacts and practice.

Survival and fighting classes were the same as before. We did fighting, found useful plants and other things to use in the wild. Ayla had progressed a lot in her training. This unique type of training was really made for her.

She could not win me yet or maybe never but everyone else her age lost or had really hard time. She thanked me a lot for helping her and promised to fulfill my wishes.

Now I need to be here only for a week, before going home.

(*(

School ended; it was kinda the same as in Europe. Everyone just left happy and with cheerful expressions. I also was like that, I had taken my backpack and said bye to Ben. The summer school was actually held here so Ben would just stay in our room.

I didn't know why he would want to stay here for summer but when I asked him, everything made sense. Now that the servants' masters were gone, they could talk without being scared of getting killed.

That means, that there are a lot of single and lonely maids looking for a friend to spend time with. That's why he stayed.

I had Sophia in my pocket, she was being really quiet. Probably scared of all the noises or she understood the situation, that we were in. Neither mattered because we arrived at the teleportation array and teleported without anything going wrong.

I was eighteen tomorrow and could form a contract with Sophia only then, so I went to masters house to talk about my matching rings. She had told me to go there as fast as possible so that would be my first destination.

"HUUHHH? YOU ALREADY MADE ONE??"

"Yes?"

"HOW?"

"Someone I know told me about the theory behind it and I tested it"

"WITH NO PRACTISE, ONLY THEORY?"

"Yes"

Master turned her back to me and started whispering to herself. I could listen, if I wanted to, but that would be rude. I now days just weaken my senses, so that I don't hear, do or see anything, that I shouldn't.

After a while master stared at me for some time, before asking.

"How did the entrance exam go"

"I didn't do it, because it teleported me straight to academy."

"So, you're a Black badge student?"

"Yes:"

"Hmm, that means, I start to get fame after holiday.... Okay we can't do another matching ring yet because it requires a lot of mana and your body needs to adjust to the new ring- It's the same as in colored rings"'

"Okay master."

"When are you leaving?"

"Tomorrow"

"Okay, remember to prepare well"

"Yes"

Master then left and I was alone in my room. I was bored, I didn't want to visit the realm because of everything that happened there and wanted to let them live in peace for some time. My curiosity however to the better of me and I opened it.

I was surprised by the scene in front of me. All the burned building were teared off and new ones were build or in progress. No one was sadly crying in a corner for their lost family member or partner.

Everyone were participating in building the new town, even little children were doing their part.

I don't know why but this scene made me happy, I just stared at the town for minutes before I left. I played with Sophia for the rest of the evening before going to sleep.
