Chapter 2 - Ch-02 Adem

I sat there in my office, confused as to why I couldn't forget her face. She was beautiful, With black hair that fell like curtains around her shoulders up till above her ass. And green eyes that looked like they had no fire left in them, she was short, but almost everyone I look at is short. One of the many advantages of being over 6 foot. She also had this look in her eyes, a murderous look, that I relished and felt a sense of familiarity with.

Thinking back, she was beyond beautiful. I was incredibly tempted to throw her over my shoulder when Ian offered his life instead of hers. But the fact that I didn't even know of her existence doesn't settle well in my bones. I've known Ian well since he was a gardener for a powerful family, but after the whole family seemingly disappeared due to a fire he came crawling to me, a successful 19-year-old child entrepreneur, for financial help. I was this close to refusing him, but he seemed like the perfect scapegoat for money laundering. His innocent face did wonders when he seemed like he could nothing wrong so no one would suspect him, and he looked trustful, I personally trusted him. Now I know what a mistake that was, the idea of a secret daughter has my blood boiling. I didn't have full control over my men's lives as I thought.

My anger was stopped short when familiar squeaky steps made their way across my office. "My office isn't your place to roam around, Thalia." My office was a place only a few I trusted entered, but it seems my little sister never understands that. "I very much like your office, older brother, so excuse me for the intrusion, but I'll be residing in here until dawn."

"Have you been watching a Victorian era show?" I sighed, already knowing the response.

She nods happily."My accent was good, right?"

I fight a smile while trying to bring out my next words nicely, "You sounded like a Victorian England peasant."

She immediately gasped and stormed out of my office, even though I annoy her to the core, we are all the other has since we both forsake our birth rights and ran away from dear parents.

I try focusing on work while trying to push a certain 5'7, black haired, beautiful and curvaceous girl out of my head. But my head keeps going back to her. The secret daughter I never knew of, with black waves that reached her plump ass, Ian's hair is blonde, Noah's too, so how did Ian get an impossibly beautiful daughter with flawlessly black hair? Unless of course she's not even his.

I ran my hands frustratingly across my face willing myself to get back to work, I have Noah in prison, and I'm sure they will both come looking for him to have him released, I'll get my answers then.

Today is progressively getting shittier, my mind has been occupied all day and I have to deal with shitheads that messed with the wrong people. I put one leg over the other trying to stay calm and not shoot one of my men."So you're telling me that you, somehow by mistakenly, killed the son of Santeneo?"

"Boss, it was entirely his fault, he was drunk and holding a weapon, it was just self-defence on our part." One of my men said with confidence and barely a tremble. Have I really let go of myself to the point that my men no longer fear me when directly speaking to me?

I glare at him then answer him in a sarcastic and humorless tone, "So you killed a drug lord's son out of self-defence? That sounds reasonable, but do you think Santeneo will give a fuck that it was self-defence?!"

I lose control of my anger and throw my chair at my men."You should have just let him kill you because you're dead, anyway." I say, growing increasingly angrier at how stupid my own men have become.

"But he's up against you, boss, what can he do? He may be a notorious criminal and a drug lord, but you're way worse, he'd be too scared of you to even come after you." So they just did all this knowing that they will get protected. Fucking wrong.

"Leave." I say as calm as I can.

"What?!" A few of them say in unison and with dread lacing their voices.

"I said Leave! You idiots angered a drug lord and expect unconditional protection from me when there is so much I can do, you just caused a gang war because of your irresponsible actions." And quite frankly, I'm not going to shelter a couple of pussies.

They don't move an Inch, seemingly shocked that I'm not going to protect them any longer. My men have become way too soft, and I have to fucking fix that before Santeneo shows up at my door.

I shoot one of them in the leg, clearly not caring if my anger takes over."Don't fucking make me repeat my self."

They all scatter away from the room, carrying the injured one out. Since I have no one to glare at, I start glaring at the wall, and it starts feeling like I might burn a hole right through it. Then the memory of pools of green glaring daggers to my face surfaces. Ian's supposed daughter. I had her looked into and there was nothing, there was nothing about her anywhere, no money trails and no mention of her, almost as if she was a ghost. Remembering that has me angrier than I was before, Ian couldn't pay me back but clearly had the money and the means to hire a hacker to completely erase her digital footprint.

I gathered my self and walked out of the warehouse, where I had fired a few of my trusted men. The air outside warm and dry, making my suit stick to my skin, typical California weather. I make it back to my penthouse that also suffices as my main office. A 400-foot skyscraper, my first accomplishment when I ran away with Thalia. We've been living in this building since I was 17 and Thalia 15, So of course I would notice when something was amiss in the building. Someone managed to Break in.
