I knew getting into the apartment wouldn't be easy, or at least there would be complications. But I didn't think that I'd find Ian in the house that I'm trying to break into. I didn't find him in the house earlier and just thought that he was looking for ways to help Noah, I just didn't think that he would directly come here and try to reason with Adem.
Ian is sitting on a couch a few feet away from me, his head is in between his arms so he didn't hear the chime of the elevator as it opened. I need to hack into the cameras inside the penthouse and that requires me to be close to them, but if I get in Ian will easily recognize me.
I slip on a black veil over my face and slowly and quietly make my way over to him, I press a pressure point on his neck and he instantly passes out. After my whole family died, I made it possible for me to be able to fight and be flexible enough to quite literally pass through holes, along the way I also learned various interesting points on the human body.
I hurriedly removed a small E.M.F device that jammed the security surveillance. I made my way onto a room that seemed to be Adem's office. It was big with ceiling-to-floor windows covering the whole room and a huge mahogany desk filling one entire side of the room. It was a surprisingly comfortable space for such a disturbed man.
I sat down in front of his computer and started hacking away, but it felt weird, maybe it was the increasing worry of being caught that was filling my gut or the fact that this is the first break-in that I have committed since 3 years ago and everything could go wrong just like 3 years ago…..
//"Black, hurry the fuck up." Red said increasingly growing nervous while guarding the door and underestimating my superior hacking skills.
"Stop fussing around Red, it's distracting me."
"Then hurry up before we get caught."
"Green and Blue are outside protecting us and your job is to protect me, so just shut the fuck up and protect me in silence!" Red looked at me, shocked that I spoke up despite my quiet demeanor, then he finally shut up and stopped fidgeting around.
Then an explosion sounded in the next room. Blue was thrown back by the explosion and he ended up in the same room as I and red, dead and in millions of pieces.//
I was snapped out of my memory when I heard the chime of the elevator. It was going down to retrieve someone, which meant Adem was home! I quickly and prematurely removed the flash disk from the computer. Seeing as I won't be able to get anything from his computer I start rummaging through his drawers in the hope of something useful.
Throughout his entire office, I was only able to find two folders and a ring. I was puzzled how a large and grand office only contained these things. I put those thoughts away and rushed towards a vent.
The vents led me to another floor entirely, which makes me question what Adem was thinking when he came up with the blueprints. I leave the vents and luckily I ended up on the second floor so I easily jump out of the window and make it home safely.

Unsurprisingly, Adem calls for Ian to go to his office the next day after I broke in. But that's just because Adem couldn't speak to him yesterday so he would speak to him today instead, At least that's what Ian told me. The surprising thing is that Adem also asked me to go to his office as well.
So I'm currently sitting on one of his many luxurious couches trying to make sure my heart stays calm despite my growing anxiety.
There are so many thoughts occupying my head and intertwining with each other, over and over again, turning my mind into a labyrinth. I try to calm my nerves although we've been here for over an hour which just increases how anxious I'm getting.
"How long do we have to wait?" I ask getting more impatient.
"I don't know." Ian sounds so defeated, maybe that's because his only son is currently being held hostage by a very disturbed man. I would like to help him out, unfortunately, the folders I got yesterday were useless and the ring was equally as useless.
We continue waiting till the anxiety consumes me. I stand to go use the bathroom and that's when I notice the blood stains lining the floors and leading to the office I was in yesterday. I slowly walk towards the blood trail and open the door. I gasp, shocked.
Adem is sprawled out on the floor bleeding from his stomach. Ian hears my surprise then comes over, he lifts him and takes him to one of the couches, and places him down slowly.
"It looks like a bullet grazed his skin, badly," Ian says it so calmly like he's dealt with this before. I scramble across the penthouse looking for a first aid kit.
Once found, I knelt next to Adems body and start working on his wound. I guess all the moving and noise woke Adem up. He was grunting from the obvious pain he felt and looked as pale as a ghost.
"Don't move," I said in a whisper as I started unbuttoning his shirt to reveal the wound.
As I popped each button more of his body came into view, his muscles weren't defined like a bodybuilder's nevertheless he still looked like he was sculpted by the gods. Once I successfully removed his shirt, I bandaged up his wound and the colour started returning to his face.
I examined the rest of his body for bruises but there were no others. For some reason, unbeknownst to me myself, my hand glided up towards his jaw, I started tracing a scar that ran from the edge of his jaw to slightly above his neck. Back and forth, I traced it, no shame filling me as he stared straight at me, with something that I can only name as amusement or curiosity filling his eyes. But that didn't stop me and my hand glided further up to his lips, slowly touching them.
"Don't kiss me, sweetheart."He said with a devious smirk forming on his lips. I immediately retracted my hands with the shame finally hitting me like a thousand waves.
"I wasn't going to kiss you," I said as a matter of fact while hiding a slight blush of embarrassment that was slowly creeping up my neck.
"Sure," he said while closing his eyes with a devious smirk still occupying his face. I moved away slightly, still bewitched by his lips.
"Let's talk tomorrow when I'm in better condition."He sat up facing us and his eyes lingered on my fingers for a quick second but it didn't go unnoticed.
I was wearing a single ring, I like rings but I have too many so as I got up to leave I dropped the ring into his hand since he seemed interested in it.
His hand closed around the ring without a single glance at it.
"Get home safe."He said with pure amusement lacing his voice.
Once we got into the elevator horror filled me as I realized what I just did, I gave Adem back the ring I stole from him.
