CHAPTER NINE
Anthony Melthow
ANTHONY'S MOTHER, Caroline J. Melthow, dropped her bags on the floor and threw herself on the king-size bed she had in that almost luxurious, if not dump, room the theater company was funding her young talent.
— I can't believe we got rid of that bastard — Caroline declared, smiling happily.
Anthony knew that sooner or later he would find another wretched piece of shit just like the one before to put in his bed, oddly enough, she had a knack for getting the worst men available around her, perhaps on Earth.
His mother was a 35-year-old woman with an 18-year-old body, now that he was a teenager, almost an adult, it wasn't hard to understand why she got so many men like that, she just didn't understand how nature had been so kind to her if she was wasting everything on those who weren't worth it.
Even with such a wanton life, he knew that his mother deserved better, she might not be the best mother in the world, but she wasn't the worst either, and everyone deserved a slice of the cake of happiness.
BEFORE STARTING rehearsals, the director enrolled Anthony in an intensive theater course so he could deliver everything he expected the boy to deliver, after all...
The kid was a risky investment.
Anthony had surprised him at his audition, but he was still a diamond in the rough that needed to be cut, the problem is that they didn't have that much time available for that, the boy needed to be ready the day before yesterday.
To do that audition, Anthony borrowed money from Mark, stole another part from his stepfather and mother, and went to the theater where the auditions were being held. Even without his mother by his side, he gave a show of interpretation and left everyone around him completely fascinated with his charisma.
Everyone thought the same thing:
We're facing Hollywood's next star, no doubt about it.
Anthony had all the qualities Jimmy Fellowie — the play's director — was looking for. He was very handsome, he spoke and expressed himself well, he was funny, intelligent, he knew how to act improvised and the best of all his qualities, he exuded a sensuality that impacted everyone around him.
As expected, Anthony became a resounding success overnight.
IT STARTED TO APPEAR on all the covers of newspapers, magazines, teen album covers...
In Hollywood all they talked about was the young boy from Chicago with his future in his hands.
— You don't know how proud that makes me, boy, you're not a diamond in the rough like everyone thought, you're a mine of diamonds.
Jimmy was minding his career like he was minding his own kids, he knew an opportunity like that:
It was one in a million...
Anthony knew that Jimmy was a failure, in addition to being gay, frustrated by not being able to come out in front of everyone, he married a filthy rich woman just to finance his failures — which were not few. But he also knew that Jimmy was a skilled talent fisherman.
Tony wasn't looking for logic, he wanted easy prey to take him to the top of the world. At the moment, Tony was threading his fish, but when the animal got tired, it would be the perfect time to pull it out and devour it.
Sometimes it irritated Jimmy's wife by talking about Anthony so much, but the day she met him, she realized why her husband praised that boy so much, because she, from then on, became the one who would praise him.
Hannah Man-Fellowie started having an affair with Anthony the same day she met him having multiple orgasms. It was the best deal in the world, she had what she wanted and he earned more than he could ever dream of.
Hannah was the type of beautiful woman, rich and built on the basis of well — performed plastic surgeries, she was smart enough to keep up appearances so as not to spoil her husband's career and show herself to the world as the precious jewel she was.
ANTHONY wasn't sure if what he was doing would help or hurt him, but with each encounter with Hannah, he became more and more ecstatic with this woman who bewitched him in bed and presented him with the most diverse and exotic gifts that could imagine. Hannah went so far as to present him with a Sport car, a late — model Mustang.
— Don't you think you're overspending, Tony? — Jimmy asked.
— I didn't spend anything, this here was a gift to the success that my little friend here is making — Tony held his penis over his pants and shook it at Jimmy — this little boy here is making me very proud, we're going to be very happy here.
— You have to be careful, Tony, not everything here is what it seems.
— Who cares, Jim? The important thing is to tune the penis from so much thrust, the rest we improvise, I just want to enjoy one day at a time.
IN THE SECOND MONTH of dating Hannah, Anthony couldn't even remember ever liking Josie as much as he liked that wonderful crown...
Despite getting letters every week from Josie, he didn't always answer them, in fact, he hardly ever read them...
Almost never actually...
His rehearsals and outings with Hannah and the other actresses in the cast took away all his available time, he didn't want to waste his time with the past knowing the future that awaited him.
AS IT WAS ALREADY programmed, his mother found another imbecile to pay his bills and beat him up after he came home drunk, but as he was already earning good money with his mistresses, Anthony decided to live alone, occasionally showing up at home. to see her.
— How was rehearsal, dear? — She said smoking a cigarette.
— Well, Mom, better than I expected.
He took a cigarette from her and lit it as he seemed to think about something.
— Since when do you smoke, Tony?
— Since when do you care about this?
— I'm your mother.
— Don't you think it's a little late to worry about that?
But as usual, he couldn't bear to be around her any longer, so he'd find an excuse and leave.
A MONTH AFTER premiering his second play, his mother was found brutally murdered in her apartment, the main suspect in the crime was his ex-stepfather, but for lack of material evidence he was released by the court three months later and Anthony never heard from him again., not even to be able to thank you for the weight you took off your back.
REVIEWING MARK AT his mother's funeral brought him a feeling of relief and tranquility, Mark and Josie were his family now, in fact, they were always his true and only family, it showed him that he was not alone in the world, after all, being surrounded by people doesn't mean that everyone wants your good.
— How are you feeling, Tony? — asked Mark.
Anthony looked at Mark and realized that this was one of the few times he had seen him without Pastorius and smiled happily, he knew that only in special moments would he let go.
— I'll be fine — Anthony lied — with the rush of the new play, I'll be thinking about other things.
— I'm sure it is — Mark replied helpfully to his friend.
That same night, Anthony slept with three actresses at the same time to celebrate the success of his new play.
ANTHONY HAS NEVER known his real father, his mother once said that he was a violent and bloodthirsty man and had been arrested for a string of murders, but Anthony never knew his real name.
