After conversing for some minutes, they took their leave.
Felicity watched them walk away with a neutral expression. "It seems like he has gotten over it."
***************************
Immediately they set foot outside, two men were standing in front of them.
One of them was fat with long brown hair, while the other was scrawny with low-cut black hair and black eyes.
They both had huge grins on their faces.
"I heard you were around pretty bo····." He stopped his statement as his jaw dropped when he noticed Sylph. The fat man was no different, and even after 10 seconds they still couldn't get over her beauty.
She walked away as Ray followed her shaking his head. When they were about 20 meters away, both of them regained themselves and stared at their figures getting smaller in the distance.
The fat man gritted his teeth so hard that cracking sounds were made.
"That bastard! What the hell is that devil doing with an angel like her," he growled.
"Exactly! He must've bewitched her like he did all the other girls. That motherfucker! Who does he think he is," the scrawny man spat.
"Because of him and those other villains, the girls at the base don't look at us anymore."
As if they ever did.
"I'm sick and tired of this," the fat man said in annoyance.
"Chub, we need to take things into our own hands and terminate all the villains especially him." The scrawny man squinted his eyes at Ray who was almost completely out of sight on his bicycle.
"Good thinking Bob. We have to save all our girls, beginning with that angel." Chub licked his lips.
*****************************
They cycled away not knowing that 'rescue plans' were being made for her.
After some minutes, they got to a point where they had to take different routes.
"We'll be meeting in front of the base tomorrow."
She nodded in response as they both went their different ways.
"Looks like I'll be heading there," he muttered.
Some minutes later,
He arrived in front of a dojo which wasn't too large but wasn't small either. After getting off his bike, he walked in.
"Sensei," he said looking around the spacious hall.
He walked deeper, heading for a particular door.
This dojo was where he usually came to, when he was younger after arriving in Euthopia, in hopes of getting stronger to join the Sentry.
The owner of this dojo had thought him so many things, not just martial arts but a better way of using his abilities.
"Sensei, are you in?"
Hearing no reply he decided to open the door. The moment his hand touched the doorknob, he barely heard a faint whizzing sound. He quickly tilted his body as a dagger grazed his cheek.
Ray frowned as the dagger stabbed into one of the wooden pillars.
"Are you trying to kil····?" He looked in the direction where the dagger had come from in annoyance but he couldn't complete his statement, as his eyes were met with another dagger.
He managed to bend backward, causing the dagger to slice through some strands of his hair and stab into another pillar.
"Sto····."
Multiple daggers were headed towards him as he began twisting and swirling around, evading the barrage of daggers that stabbed through different places in the dojo.
Ray gritted his teeth and tried his best to dodge the daggers which were aimed at his vital points at lightning speed.
After some seconds of continuous dodging, he was finally able to hide behind a pillar.
"What the hell do you think you're doing? You're going to kill me!" He shouted.
The attack seized as silence reigned.
He wanted to leave the pillar but knew his sensei was a sneaky old man.
He slowly stuck his head out, before his eyes suddenly widened, quickly aligning himself with the pillar. He turned around to look at the dagger which had just passed as a trickle of blood appeared on his face.
Having had enough, he walked away from the pillar and was greeted by three daggers aimed at his forehead, heart, and····.
His mouth twitched as he realized where the third dagger was aimed at.
His little brother.
A golden glow appeared around his body, and the moment the daggers made contact they were sent flying in different directions.
"I don't remember permitting you to use your abilities." A man with white long hair wore in a ponytail, a beard, and black intimidating eyes, voiced out.
He was dressed in a white karate gi and just by looking at him, it was noticeable that he was either Chinese or Japanese.
He was seated cross-legged with multiple daggers beside him and a small table at his front. It was quite surprising how a man over sixty years could perform such attacks seated.
"Huh? I also don't remember permitting you to attack me out of the blue like that," Ray retorted.
"I'm your sensei, I can attack you any time I want. It's part of your training," he said throwing another dagger which Ray caught before approaching him.
"I don't support some areas you aimed at on my body. I could have lost my life or maybe something even worse," he sniffed.
"What's that to me? It only means you failed me as a student. I didn't even think you'll get scratched but hear you are." He gestured at him in disappointment.
Ray had several graze marks on some parts of his body, especially his hands. Some areas on his clothes also had narrow cuts.
"Your skills are getting rusty," the old man frowned.
"No, I'm not just in the mood." Ray sat cross-legged at the opposite end.
That's not an excuse. A warrior should always be in the mood for battle. Unless you'd end up dying young and regretful." Ray nodded in response.
"So why have you come? I doubt it's for training which you stopped almost two months ago."
A wry smile appeared on Ray's face. The truth was that he had been training severely during most of this period.
If he didn't, he wouldn't have made it to the top two hundred rankings, but he did.
He did this in solitude, so to his master, he hadn't been training for two months now.
As for why he hadn't evaded all the daggers completely unscathed. Well, the truth was he actually got a little rusty, as he had not partaken in any actual fight for about two weeks now.
"I came to take my combat gear. I'm going on a mission tomorrow." He had dropped all his gear here two weeks ago before going on his two weeks leave.
"Is that so? I believe you already know where they are."
Ray nodded in response and after a few more words, he excused himself and walked into a hallway towards a particular door
During his earlier days in Euthopia, this dojo was like his second home and he spent a lot of time with his sensei.
His sensei was the second closest person to him, who enabled him to move forward away from his grief, sadness, and helplessness.
He was also the one who suggested that Ray join the sentry and also trained him for it.
He had so many memories over the past four years in this place.
Ray opened the door which displayed a spacious simple room, with a nice scenery of beautiful flowers and plants which could be seen through large transparent glass and a smaller door beside it.
The large glass had smaller openings that could be shut, and a lot of windows were spread across the room, always leaving it ventilated with a fresh, cool breeze.
He walked towards a wardrobe and slid it open, displaying multiple clothes. Before pushing the clothes to one side, displaying the other end of the wardrobe.
He placed his thumb in a particular area that released a faint white glow, which turned green as another compartment slid open.
He took out its content and placed it on his bed. He stared at his real partners with love.
A 1.2 meter long sword which was in a black scabbard, black T-shirts and trousers, a pair of black shoes that seemed to be a hybrid of trainers and boots, and a long black coat that would fall below his calf if worn.
They weren't made from normal materials as the clothes could easily stop low-caliber bullets, and greatly reduce the effect of higher ones.
The sword was made from slaisten and was incredibly sharp, capable of slicing through some of the strongest materials in the world.
All his equipment had golden lines in some places which made it look quite flashy.
A sigh escaped his lips. He wasn't the one who had designed his equipment. That was the work of the gear creation and maintenance department in each of the sentry bases.
Ray dived into his bed appreciating everything around him. From the fresh gentle breeze which blew against his skin, to the soft rustling sound of the leaves and flowers, and just like that, he fell asleep.
