It was the final match of the Spring Split. The score was 2:2. The matches went back and forth with no clear predictions on who will take the final match.
If Team Hydrox won it would be the 3rd time MK gets another domestic title but if Hellraisers win it would mean an end to a possible era!
The match had started, Small skirmishes between the two teams erupted. It would always be a back and forth fight but none would die.
The only thing that would've to happen is for the people involved in the skirmish to lose at most 40% of their hp and they would be healed back up to full by the healer after disengaging.
Rito a member of Hydrox rushed one of the enemies but that person was bait as soon as he reached the player from Hellraisers. he was ganged up by the enemy, an immediately called out for help.
MK and the others rushed to help him but as soon as they got there Rito's HP already dropped to 0. Metro yelled out "Fall Back!" As team Hellraisers went full offensive.
The color in Rito's face drained as he watched the battle. If they lose it now it was because of him. The battle became horrible for Hydrox. One less person means no one could defend the healer if one of them leaves the front the vanguard would be weakened, even if no one moves the Vanguard would still be overpowered and be broken through.
A few minutes later. They started to fall, One by one they started to fall even if they fell they killed at least 2 people from the Hellraiser's side specifically their healer and Vanguard for bad positioning, but still, no matter how good MK was He couldn't win a 1v3 with 18% HP. The casters already called it a loss and Mitaro could feel the bitterness. He tried but he couldn't take down three people. He fought a losing battle and managed to kill two more but in the end, he got killed before he could at least damage the third person.
Mitaro gritted his teeth and slammed his fist down at the desk and tears started to fall. Rito, Akira, Rain, and Miyu (Yumi) stood up and comforted their captain.
Hellraisers exited the booth and excitedly lifted the trophy and the announcer said "Now, It's time to announce the MVP for this tournament and it is without a doubt The team captain of Hydrox MK for being the Highest Rated Player in the entire tournament." Mitaro went up to the stage wiping his eyes wearing a face mask that did not hide his sadness.
The announcer hands over the framed piece of paper. Mitaro received it and he smiled bitterly he left the stage with a sad expression.
A week passed after the tournament Mitaro was Playing Counter-Strike on his computer when there was a knock on the door
"Mitaro, the manager called for you," Rito said after knocking on the door "Go ahead, I'll be going there soon" I yell out. I grab my jacket and went to the manager's office.
He saw the whole team there as well as a new person. It was silent for a few seconds then the manager broke the silence "Mitaro, you'll be benched by the team, Kiyara will be the new captain." The manager points toward the ugly blonde sitting on the chair near the door
Mitaro became confused about what he just heard, "What? Could you repeat it again, I didn't quite understand it?"
"We're replacing you with Kiyara, and you'll be on the bench." The manager repeated while Kiyara looked at Mitaro smugly
"Wow, just wow, nepotism runs deep huh?" Mitaro mouthed and glared at Kiyara making him bow his head in instinct.
"Be careful about what you say Mitaro." The manager spoke firmly
"But isn't it true though? Kiyara, You and the org owner are all relatives if I'm correct. You're his uncle while the owner's his daddy?" Mitaro spoke mockingly then continued
"Go ahead sue me for slander, but we both know you'll lose though, just for the betterment of both of us, I'll walk out of the contract, but even then the contract was breached by you first and I suggest not attempting any sort of legal action too because we both know what'll happen." The Manager grimaced when he heard Mitaro's words as well as him voluntarily leaving the team. The Manager felt a lump form in his throat.
"Don't be too hasty about leaving Mitaro, we can sort everything out." The Manager spoke, he knows if he lets Mitaro walk out of the contract, then they'll lose a star player that they can use to train Kiyara and much less lose the standing they have now.
Mitaro took off the Team's jacket before tossing it into the bin in the corner. "Don't beg now, I'm walking out of the contract whether you like it or not, I mean The contract with me states that I can leave whenever I want to?"
He walked over beside the Manager and leaned down to whisper in his ear "I wonder, How much of the sponsorship from the HC group did you and your brother pocket." Mitaro then walked out of the conference room and back to his quarters to start packing.
