Chapter 17 - First Intruders (2)

Adrian watched as two bandits fought back to back against three Giant Violet bees that were surrounding them. He had noticed the seven intruders the moment they stepped into his territory. The moment they entered his dungeon though he was shocked because his passive income skyrocketed! He almost doubled his passive income with just 7 humans.

Each human bandit had given him around 30 DP with some giving more and some less, the Bandit Leader was much stronger than the others giving him nearly 50 DP by himself!

The moment he noticed the bandits entering his territory he sent the Wolf Riders to go hunt, as he wanted to test out his dungeon. Even if they got all the way to the end of his dungeon it was no loss for him because the dungeon core wasn't even in there!

If they started climbing World though...He would immediately call back the wolf riders and have them wipe out the bandits. He was unable to move the dungeon core when there were intruders inside of his dungeon.

He watched one of the bandits as they were stung in the chest and he knew that his life was over. He did not feel bad about these people dying because when he used Inspect on them he noticed they were bandits.

Name: Joe Lort

Profession: Bandit

Species: Human

Combat Power: ☆☆☆☆☆②

He also noticed that his Inspect would add or remove categories depending on if the target qualified, so this bandit had no skills. He was also just stronger than Adrian himself. It was a wonder how people this weak became bandits.

Their leader however was a different story.

Name: Boff Froyd

Profession: Ex-Knight, Bandit

Species: Human

Combat Power: ☆☆☆☆☆⑦

This Ex-Knight was almost as strong as Gobble! He was stronger than a majority of the Goblin Riders, and just a few of the elites could easily take him out.

The reason he was able to do all this spying was because his dungeon had a sort of all seeing eye ability. He had a 3D map of the dungeon he could pull up that would show all of his monsters on it as Blue dots, and enemies as Red dots. He could also select a spot to specifically watch and a screen would open up showing what was happening in real time. It was very convenient.

He tried to show it to Gobble and Gabbie who were guarding him and the dungeon core at the top of World but they were unable to see it. He left some of the wolf riders here for backup, he wasn't stupid after all.

Looking back at the screen he saw as the two bandits were finished off by the Violet Bee's and was very satisfied with his purchase of the spawner. It was already paying dividends!

He changed the screen to a bandit who was walking towards a small field of Indigo flowers with greed filling his eyes. This bandit obviously had no idea what Corpse Flowers were and would soon learn his lesson.

Adrian switched again as there was nothing more to watch with that bandit, he would die soon. Changing to the last two minions he saw as they approached the treasure chest he had set up in between two King's tassels.

These bandits were a little smarter though, as they noticed the King's Tassel beforehand and began to chop at it from range with their weapons, however their attempts were getting them nowhere. The King's Tassel was much stronger than them.

They gave up after a while and turned to walk away and one of the bandits pointed to a berry bush as he said "You think those are valuable?".

"No they are probably poisonous, don't eat them." The other bandit eyed the giant berries and shook his head.

"I won't eat them, I'll just pick them and ask the boss later" The bandit said as he walked towards the bush. He reached out to grab one of the fist sized berries not noticing a branch was approaching him from the right.

"Watch out!" The other bandit screamed as he saw this scene, but it was too late as the Bruiseberry Bush delivered a devious right hook, the fist sized berry smacking right into the side of the bandit's face sending him flying.

And to the bandits' horror he went flying right into the two King's Tassels that were guarding the treasure chest.

The other bandit knew his buddy was done for so he swiftly left wanting to leave this evil forest before he became the next one to die.

Adrian turned the camera to Boff watching just as he stepped into the range of a Fanged Bromeliad not noticing it as he was fighting The Violet Bees chasing him. The end of the flower pierced his lower calf dropping him to the floor with a scream.

He knew he was done for at this point and screamed in rage "Baron Julliard I will haunt you in my grave!" before he was eventually killed. The last bandit was not long after falling to one of Adrian's plants soon after.

"Baron Julliard? What does he have to do with your death?" Adrian murmured as he watched this final scene, he just put this to the ravings of a crazy person.

He checked his DP and noticed he had gotten around 75 DP for each person that died in his dungeon, this meant that when the intruders died he gained more DP than if they were to make it out alive.

He decided to check what items the bandits had brought him, he checked Boff's corpse in particular because he heard the bandits speak about being chased and noticed how Boff was very protective of a leather booklet he had on him.

Looking at the Booklet Adrian noticed it belonged to the Baron Julliard that Boff had cursed before he died so he decided to keep it instead of feeding it to the dungeon. He guessed that someone would be coming to look for this ledger as it showed the accounts of the Baron and all the illegal dealings he had. Adrian wondered how this bandit got ahold of it.

He sold all the rest of the items the Bandits had stolen including silk, spices, their weapons, and even their bodies. He gained a total of 500 DP from all of this which was worth more than the bandits' lives themselves! It was a huge bonus and Adrian was extremely happy.
