Chapter 7 - CURSED

2 days later...

There was laughter from inside the classroom. They talk to each other and throw jokes between each other not infrequently they even throw paper at each other like high school kids. Even though they were in college.

Hawksthorn University.

That is the name of their university which is famous in their city and is one of the most popular universities. Many people are competing to get into this university, but not many can get into this university.

It could be said that only smart and lucky people were able to enter this university. And one of them was a beautiful woman who was sitting by the window with her hazel eyes looking out the window.

BRAK!

"MY LOVEEEEE KEIRA!"

Keira turned. She looked towards her classroom door and she saw a man walking to her desk with a smile on his handsome face.

Keira smiled as the man pulled one of the chairs and sat across from her. "Clyden..."

Clyden Chez was the name of the handsome man with blue eyes who was sitting opposite Keira and smiling at Keira. He is one of the most popular students at this university because of his friendly and sociable demeanor.

Ah, one more thing... he is the only son of the owner of Sinx Corp.

"What are you doing my love?" asked Clyden.

Keira chuckled. "Nothing, I was just looking out the window. And can you stop calling me that?"

Clyden pouted. "I refused your order. Because you're my love."

'My love' was her nickname and the way Clyden called Keira. It might sound cringe but that's what Clyen always called him. Well, honestly Keira didn't mind the way Clyden called her but she was too shy to admit it.

Keira chuckled for a second time. "Then, there is nothing I can do," said Keira who then opened her book.

Clyden propped up his chin. His blue eyes stared at Keira. He stared at every side of Keira's face without missing a beat. Keira's hair was blown by the wind coming through the window. Just one word...

Beautiful... so Beautiful.

And that was Keira in Clyden's eyes right now.

Keira felt something. She then lifted her head and that's when her hazel eyes met with Clyden's blue eyes that were staring at her. The two stared at each other ignoring the crowd around them.

Until Keira broke their gaze. She averted her gaze and lowered her head.

"Are my eyes that beautiful?" said Clyden tilting his head slightly.

"N-No... it's normal," said Keira trying to hide her blushing cheeks. She felt awkward because of Clyden.

Then, does that mean Keira likes Clyden?

Well... maybe?

Clyden chuckled. He felt exasperated seeing Keira's adorable attitude. He liked it when he saw those two white cheeks flush because of him. Clyden looked at the book Keira was reading.

"What book are you reading?" asked Clyden feeling curious about the book Keira was reading.

"Ah, nothing. I only read novels," replied Keira.

"Oh, you like novels? What is the story of the novel?" Clyden was interested to know what kind of stories Keira likes.

What? There's nothing wrong if he wants to know the things that are liked by women who have managed to attract his attention. That's right, now you know that he likes Keira.

Keira closed her book and smiled faintly. "You will laugh at me."

Clyden furrowed his eyebrows. "Laugh? Why should I laugh at you?"

Keira was silent for a moment, but she looked at Clyden who was still waiting for her answer. She sighed. "Vampire... this novel tells about a vampire."

Keira looked to her left side. She didn't want to hear Clyden's laughter because of the answer she had just given to the handsome man. Because every time she tells her interest in vampires, people will laugh and think it's weird.

Even Della often laughed at her. But she knew that Della didn't mean to make fun of her because Della was her best friend. But after a few seconds, Keira didn't hear any laughter. She looked at Clyden. "You're not laughing?"

"Why should I?" Clyden leaned back in his chair.

Keira confused. "It's just... just..."

"That's the thing you like, so I don't have the right to laugh at the thing you like," said Clyden. "After all, vampires are pretty cool creatures."

Keira fell silent. This was beyond what she had imagined because the reaction given by Clyden was completely different from what she had imagined just a few seconds ago. Slowly she smiled. It couldn't be denied that she was happy because Clyden didn't laugh at her.

"Well... thank you," said Keira shyly.

"That's much cooler, compared to myself being interested in aliens," said Clyden which then made them both laugh.

Even though it's quite embarrassing, Clyden is interested in aliens. He even collected several films and books about aliens and of course he didn't tell anyone about this. So you could say Keira was the first to know about it.

Keira stopped laughing. "Then do you believe that vampires exist?"

Since Clyden valued the things she liked, she decided to ask Clyden about this. Clyden was also the first person she dared to ask about this.

Clyden held his chin. "Mmm... of course, why not? If aliens exist then so do vampires," answered Clyden.

Finally... someone agrees with her. Keira felt very satisfied hearing the answer Clyden gave her.

She wants to hug Clyden.

Oops... sorry. She got carried away.

"Didn't you go to Xerxes castle two days ago?" said Clyden.

Keira nodded. "You know? Yes, I did go there."

Hearing the castle's name, her memory suddenly recalled the strange incident she had experienced while there. Not just strange... but terrible that she still remembers it clearly to this day.

Clyden folded his arms across his chest. "Are you alright?"

Keira furrowed her brows hearing Clyden's question which was quite strange. "Am I alright? Yes, I am. Why are you asking like that?" wonder Keira.

Of course, she was surprised to hear the question Clyden gave her. She didn't think Clyden would ask her like that. Clyden's question was beyond her expectations.

Clyden sighed. He then leaned forward by placing his hands on Keira's desk. "Those castle is cursed. They say that the three princes of the Xerxes kingdom died horribly," whispered Clyden while looking at Keira.
