Chapter 33 - Transcendency!

As Stephen and his people ate the best meal they had in their entire lives kirean was in New Haven in the command room, as Kirean was looking out the window of the command room into space he asked the people behind him "amber have you learned anything from them?" asked Kirean as he was talking about Stephen and others "forefather it seems that they can use psionic energy it seems that their previous civilization was a technological civilization that researched the matters of the mind and had some breakthroughs which aren't uncommon as technological civilizations typically only follow two routes robots and matters of the mind as these are the only two paths that will grant them increased personal power and better longevity, scanning their ships I've found something interesting a jump drive as they call it the Jump Drive shreds the local space-time continuum and rearranges it on the quantum level to be identical to that of the target destination - and thus the ship appears to near-instantly "jump" from system to system this, of course, has limits as it's only capable of jumping 2-3 systems it is similar to our warp drive with the only difference is that jump drives don't use a subspace we are currently studying the science behind the jump drive as right now we have no use for it as it's just like our warp drive by studying how it works we may be able to improve on our warp drive, we have found other technologies that are extremely underwhelming as it seems they didn't have access to better technology in their previous civilization maybe only their military did as they are only trade ships after all" said Amber as she has already scanned their ships as soon as they got on the carrier

Kirean nodded as the jump drive explains why they can't use subspace sensors to detect their jump drive because it doesn't use a subspace but it looks like they have been suffering for a while as the jump is supposed to be instantly but theirs was not probably due to the lack of energy "how much time we have until the fleet tournament?" asked Korean "forefather the tournament will start in a week" said amber as kirean nodded and asked Amanda "how is the merchandise?" Amanda stepped forward and said "forefather other merchandise is selling well as ultimas have their favorite fleets after the tournament the merchandise should be selling a lot more" kirean nodded as everything is as expected

Back on the carrier as Stephen and his people finished eating the soldier that led him here said "follow me ill show you your living quarters for a few days" said the soldier while Stephen asked "how long will it take us to get to the station that captain Alex talked about?" said Stephen while the soldier was stunned "captain Alex? Hmmm well we need to recharge energy to warp back as a regular trip will take a few years so in a few days maybe" said the soldier as Stephen was relieved while walking Stephen was getting ever more curious as he started to see the soldiers start taking out different types of animals too feed and too play the children in the group were getting extremely agitated as this was the first animals they have ever seen and were extremely excited and wanted to play but were held back so Stephen asked "Are these your pets?" Asked Stephen to the soldier as the soldier looked around at the ultimas and knew why he asked "yes they are all named behemoths as a race name but the owners give them different name everyone of us has one the reason you didn't see them earlier was because they were in a special place too hold them when we are on duty when you got on this ship we all got a break for a day so after lunch they all got their pets" said the soldier with a little embarrassment as a black whole appeared where a small monkey came out as soon as he saw the soldier he ran to him and climbed him and started screaming at him the soldier was even more embarrassed as the monkey was telling him how all the pets were summoned but he was left alone for a couple minutes forcing the soldier to pamper the monkey and make promises of more food throughout their entire journey as they got closer to the houses they will live in the crowd including Stephen was stunned as they expected getting some lesser houses they surprisingly got the same exact houses as the soldiers which looked like houses for kings and queens too them as they explored their houses they were left shocked by the technology and comfortable living environment as they came out with satisfied smiles the soldier said "it looks like you like the houses, you will live here until we reach New Haven you are free to do what you want" said the soldier hurriedly as his pet monkey was visibly yelling at him on his shoulder seeing the soldier hurry to the market Stephen had a question and quickly asked before the soldier left "do you mind if I ask what is your civilization?" What Stephen is asking is exactly what he said as some civilizations use mana some use spirit energy some technology they use a lot of different things making civilizations different the soldier also knew what he wanted to ask so he hurriedly said "a transcendency if you want to know what exactly that is ask forefather once you meet him" said the soldier while running away with a screaming monkey on his soldier Stephen was left speechless but he got two key words 'a transcendency hmm do they use energy surpassing everyone else that would make sense for they're ridiculous energies or is it something else and this forefather is it the creator of the race?' Thought Stephen as he had a lot of thoughts but no answers he led everyone to their houses and waited to ask when he met their "forefather"
