Kay and Alice lay unconscious on the ground, their wounds slowly healing. After a while, they regain consciousness and open their eyes. Alice notices that Kay is on top of her and immediately pushes him away, shouting,
"Get away from me!"
Kay falls to the side and stands up, while Alice also gets to her feet. She glares at Kay, tears welling up in her eyes as she exclaims,
"Because of you, I lost!" Alice seethed, tears streaming down her face, "Because of you, I lost the practice tournament! If it's like that, I don't stand a chance in the real one..."
Alice's complaints fell on deaf ears as Kay remained focused on his own thoughts. He has not accomplished his task, and was left feeling puzzled and unfulfilled. But as he made his way out of the arena, he remembered that the tournament was not yet over. The final battle between Shiina, Ezra, and Luc was still to come, and he realized he had forgotten the name of Luc's partner.
"You said you would bring me to the spotlight but-"
