A few hours earlier.
After getting a chance to run away from the confusion, Garen started rushing to the center of the forest. He's tired, he had been fighting for a few hours trying to get an opportunity to escape from the fight.
And for him who'd never had any training before, his body was reaching its limits. But he knew that he couldn't stop now, since that would be his end. So, he continued running in search for a place to hide and rest.
It wasn't until half an hour later that he found one. It's a hole on the ground, the place looked man made and was small, it could fit only one person.
Besides the place there's something made of grass and leaves that could be put on top of the hole, so that it wouldn't be noticed by passersby.
He knew that this wasn't the best place to stay, as it's still a few hours away from the center of the forest, the wall was close, and lastly but not least, this place clearly was made by another player.
But he couldn't continue running anymore, he's extremely tired at this point, and the moment that he entered the place and close the top he slept.
…
But after entering the Tower, he noticed that life wasn't always a bed of roses, as it'd been only three hours and he's forced awake by loud voices coming from the ground on top of him.
"Who do you think was the one who got that ball?" Asked someone with a deep voice.
"How should I know? That person must be far away by now. We eliminated everyone on that place, and it wasn't with any of them." Answered another person with a deep voice.
'So, someone stole that thing…' Though Garen as he heard the voices. He's still tired, but he's felling way better after resting for three hours, still not in his perfect state though.
It's at that moment that someone step on top of the hole and crush his ceiling. The person's leg passed through and was stuck in front of him.
The person's body was blocking the view from the outside, so it didn't look like he noticed that someone was inside the place.
"Fu**, why is there a hole in this place?" Screamed the man in irritation as he's stuck. "Help me up." He continued while looking at the other person.
The other person rushed to the man side and tried to pull him up, but that turned out to be useless as the man didn't look strong enough for that task.
"I will try from your back." Said the man, as he rushed to the other's back.
'Useless as always.' Thought the man stuck in the ground. He'd formed a team with this guy, but the person really annoyed him. 'I hate assassins, a bunch of scared cats that can face others face to face.'
He'd an annoyed expression on his face as he thought of the man that he called companion, but his face changed the moment that he felt something pierce his back.
He looked back and saw a dagger being pushed out of his back, he tried to activate his skill, but a second dagger came for his neck and finished the deal.
Garen couldn't see all that was happening since the whole on his ceiling was being blocked by the man's body, but he could still guess from the sounds coming from up there.
He couldn't understand why the man betrayed his companion, but he couldn't understand a lot of things since the moment he entered the Tower. He noticed how betrayals were common here, and how people didn't hesitate to end others life.
These things that were considered wrong on Earth, here became normal and common. He still felt wrong ending someone else's life, but he's starting to understand that in this place that was necessary.
But betrayals were something that would never make sense for him, and something that he promised to himself that it would be something that he'd never do.
But he'd to stop his train of thoughts, because it's at this moment that the man's body started to flicker and a few moments later it disappeared.
This made the man's body stop blocking the view from the outside of the hole. And both Garen and the killer from the outside saw each other.
