Usually, Selene and Theo were actually meant to sneak out, but not for the Red beast subjugation but for a more educational reason. They had a morbid curiosity about dungeon breaks.
Theo would then meet each other on their way of sneaking out, Theo would scold Selene for trying to sneak out on her own, but she refused Theo's plea and kept moving. Theo worried, knowing the condition Selene was in after hearing it from his butler, accompanied the lady just in case anything bad happened.
What the two were presented was a one sided slaughter with the victims being the monsters. A cut scene would then play showing the decimation, the troops of Vitoten and Virtus.
The significance of the cut scene was just to show a taste of the prowess of the Vitoten's and Virtus' military power. It was also meant to show the strength of expert level individuals.
Obviously, Theo and Selene were in awe that they forgot to leave in time before getting caught by their servants.
Their servants would then proceed to report this to their parents, which resulted in them forced to have a spar with their elder siblings, Selene had it easy, but Theo, came out of it unable to move for an entire two days

AWOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
The Red beast had four phases.
The first phase was the minion phase, where the red beast summoned intermediate tier wolves for the players to fight against.
After the Red beast finished howling, dozens of fireballs burned around its body. What appeared right after were miniature sized Red beasts from the fireballs, all ready to bite Selene's and Theo's heads off.
AWOOOOOOO!!!!!
All dozen wolves howled all together before charging at the two challengers.
"Come!" Theo said, preparing his stance.
"Cookie!" Selene behind theo, summoning her skeletal wolf.
The first three wolves in the forefront pounced at Theo.
Theo charged forwards to meet their attack and took the initiative to attack the wolves mid air.
Shing! Fwoosh
"Holy Shield!"
He decapitated two of them and blocked the last one before stabbing it on the eye. All the wolves he defeated combust into flames, dealing bits of fire damage to Theo.
GROWL!
Two more fire wolves pounced on both sides of Theo.
"Cookie! GO! Haaah!"
Selene slashed the wolf on the left while Cookie pounced and bit the one on the right of Theo.
The formation was as follows, Theo would be the vanguard as per usual and Selene was there for any wolf going for their flanks. A simple yet effective strategy
Three fireballs blasted from the wolves mouths from afar, but Theo and Selene easily dodged them.
Theo Charged at the wolves who tried to burn him, while Selene and Cookie followed behind him and dealt with any wolf getting in his way.
With Selene's and Theo's coordination, they were able to deal with the rest of the wolves and fall back in preparation for the second phase.
"Very interesting indeed"
Theo and Selene tensed up as they heard a guttural voice coming from the Red beast.
Theo
The Red beast was never meant to talk. There were some Chaos beasts that could talk but not the Red beast.
Looking at it now, Selene and Theo noticed that the eyes of the Red Beast that was supposed to be deranged and crazy were clear and focused, whereas in the game its eyes would usually dart around randomly.
"Challengers weren't supposed to come this early, I believe it was meant to be two years in the future, when my mind has been completely consumed by chaos...."
Both Selene and Theo tilted their heads in confusion, wondering what the Red beast was talking about. They were already nervous before, but now another unexpected variable showed up, Making them tremble in fear for what's about to come.
The Red beast visibly smiled and its eyes burned brighter in anticipation
"Hmph no matter, Fate is always fickle and ever changing. I am meant to give you younglings a challenge, so I shall stop rambling! Let's continue! AWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!"
"This has to be because of my bad luck!!" Selene shouted, complaining
"Less talking, more dodging-! watch out!"
Whooosh!*
Theo rushed to Selene and tackled her.
BOOM!
A tiny crater was made from where Selene was standing, luckily Theo was there to save her from burning to a crisp.
"F*ck..." Selene dazed as she almost died just a moment ago
"Get up and dodge! Second phase!" Theo separates from Selene, preparing himself from the incoming barrage of spells.
Second Phase was called Rain of Fire, The Red Beast would start blasting the entire battlefield with hundreds of fire spells, from fire pillars, fire arrows, fire balls and more. The player must dodge or block incoming spells for five minutes.
Theo, who was at the peak of Adept would not have difficulty dodging the spells and he memorized all the patterns and trajectory of all the spells, making it a breeze for him.
The problem was Selene. Yes she also memorized all the patterns and trajectory of all the spells, but she was only at the peak of Intermediate and most of the spells used were above her tier.
Sh*t I f*cking hate this. F*ck you RED BEAST!
Selene cursed at her debuffs and cursed at the Red beast for giving her and Theo the same amount of spells directed at them
Theo, who was leisurely dodging the spells, was worried when he heard Selene talking out loud.
"F*ck! This is the worst!!! If-! F*ck that was close! If only I was Adept tier!" Selene clearly struggling to dodge spells coming her way.
Woof!
BOOM!
Wimper
She would even sometimes use Cookie as a shield to block spells she couldn't dodge, as much as she hated using this method, because she had no other choice.
"Impressive, Despite being a tier and tiers below me, you have proved yourself worthy with your sheer will and wit. I'm eager to see your struggles more, young children. Let's up the difficulty, shall we? '' The beast said eagerly with a devilish smile plastered on its face.
""WHAT!?"" Theo and Selene shouted in disbelief
Suddenly, the amount of spells rose substantially, essentially doubling the amount of spells flying their way.
The original Red Beast didn't have this kind of reaction and consistently fired the same amount of fire spells, it never upped the difficulty at all, making the duo baffled again by the unexpected decision the Red Beast made.
Theo struggled but it was bearable enough for him to not get hit, Selene on the other hand.
You got to be f*cking kidding me!!
"Wind Sprint!" Selene chanted out of desperation.
She used up one charge of her sprint to get a speed boost, to dodge the incoming spells.
Thank god she has that item.
The good news was, that there was about thirty seconds left, but it seemed endless, because of how much stress Selene was under.
After sprinting a substantial distance away, a giant fireball of her size suddenly appeared from behind her, she had no choice but to sacrifice something.
"Cookie! I'm sorry!" Selene said on the verge of tears.
Woof!
BOOOM!
Selene was blown away from the explosion
"Selene!!!" Theo shouted
"I'm fine!" Selene gets up and uses another charge of her bracelet to dodge another barrage of spells coming right at her.
10 seconds!!.....9.....8....7.....6... Oh f*ck! 3....2.....1!
The barrage of spells suddenly stopped. Selene plopped on the, exhausted from dodging hundreds of spells for five minutes, while Theo readied his stance as the Red Beast approached them.
"Now, how about some good old fashion melee?" The Red Beast smirked.
the third phase commenced and it was a physical confrontation with the Red Beast.
Selene
Selene took out the 5th rank magic stone from her storage ring, preparing for the last two phases.
