Cain watched through the eyes of the light mirage it had left behind as he fled for the northern plains. The Creator would never admit he was running though. The beautiful part of it all being he was indeed fleeing for both his safety and his plans.
Cain could not help but rethink to the message he had received from his beautiful angels. The root of all his plans, the catalyst that would begin his ascension on Mistrelon. The spark for his domination had been found. Cain's fright for the mad situation had paled in comparison to his joy when he had received this beautiful news.
[Light Mirage] was no true cloning ability unlike that of the Knight. While the Knight's clones had wrought him a world of hurt his mirage was nothing but a distraction, a beautiful show to keep the enemy away from the true him.
A pearly smile that would have smitten the heavens broke across Cain's face as he zipped past the plains at speeds he had not shown while tracking the King of the Unliving. While he was able to share things like sight with the mirage he had nothing else with it as such he could only see the moment Faora had blasted the knight to nothing. If he had waited or had been able to hear then he might have heard the words spoken before the Knights true descent. As such the Mirage was gone and the creator was racing hoping beyond anything that Faora took some time to recuperate and tend to Desne before both sought him. He really hoped it would not be before or during.
This was it. The moment in his tale, the curving point to the etching of his legend. The true goal of Creator Online.
Even with the smile of the heavens on his cheeks, Cain's eyes were steeled, the golden orbs of light a resolute and fiery orb of molten determination.
'Nothing will get in my way'. Finally he would rise as that female had done and even possibly surpass her.
.
Many times Faora tried to stop herself, tell.herself there was no point in this fight. Many times her desire won, her urge to fight, to bring the knight down filling her to the brim. Each time she was attacked her desire to bring the Knight down only blossomed.
Her fists coated in the black and purple hue of chaos tried defending against the entity's strikes. The first defense was a success as she watch the being draw it's feet back. Head tilted downwards as it surveyed the sizzle coming from the ruined boots it wore.
Faora's face stretched farther into her maddened grin even as the knight levelled her with a look. Through the slits of the helm were two blue orbs glaring holes into her head. Faora felt like such a gaze could truly burn her alive.
"Well come on. Don't tell me you are scared." The knight's head tilted slightly to the right like an attempt to view her from a new angle.
"A little danger wouldn't..." Faora never finished her statement as the Knight vanished. Her spine tingled, her mind froze bumps grew over her flesh. Chaos bloomed from the goddess like a flower, spreading out like a geyser and wrapping her up in a ball of black and purple energy. A boom tore through the air.
Wind scattered the sands and cracked the ground, eyes turned black as the destruction goddess grew claws in place of nails, scales adorned her flesh as purple slits carved their way into her pitch-black eyes. Thunder rumbled, not in the skies but within the sphere. A scaly thick and long tail erupted from her attire pushing her tattered cloak aside.
"You can't get me in here now!" Faora laughed loud her tongue darting out, serpentine and black. Her eyes flickered around seeking the danger that had triggered her defense mode.
Calystra was no safe universe unlike that of the other creators. Her world was made to spawn creatures that gave her frights. From the dragons that basked in pride, to the Kaijus that knew only mindless rampage, the Onitez that loved to see things flee from terror and the Veilspawn that drew on panic.
All creatures made by her hand and in her universe. It was why Faora was different. Why the Trio had been different. Hilde didn't realize it but most of her concessions had been correct. The Creator gods were all meant to use just Intents derived from tomes rewarded by The Will or purchased from the market. None were meant to have sensed, gotten control or mastered use of their core powers.
Faora's world had been fundamentally different due to her core that she had been the first and only to gain use of her Core power. Chaos. Teaching the others how to sense theirs had created the trio who could use their core powers quite adequately. This was the very reason why Cain's light had been a threat to the Runic Intent - Physical Reflection.
The same reason why Desne had been able to entrap the clone in an illusion. Also the same reason why the chaos beam had been able to destroy the reflection.
Core powers were nothing like intents. Intents were rules, understanding and knowledge of the universe in the palms of deific beings. Core powers were a whole different upgrade.
It was this very reason that gave Faora her spine. While she would not dent the Knight's power. She doubted it could get passed her Chaos defense. Her flesh of destruction and chaos egg were impassable. Unraveling anything that would deign to pass.
Of course, Hilde did not know any of this. All she knew was what she wanted. Her recent improvement had been in chaos. But all the goddess could do was notice and sense the energy. Nothing else. Which made knowledge imperative.
Hilde's mind spun as she dashed across the plain running circles around the goddess as she thought. It wasn't that there was anything she could do to bring the goddess down. It was the goddess herself.
Numerous were the moments Hilde had shown her superiority to the goddess. And numerous too were the times the goddess had been uncaring of it. Hilde wasn't shocked or surprised. No. She knew this was the way of players. A swordmaster would never give up even if it's foe was a dragon.
But, a player would only believe and react to one thing. Strength. The power of levels.
Hilde believed that as the only one who had unlocked a fraction of the power from her core, One Spark. She only needed to show power on a level that could hurt even her.
Mind made up the Warrior one stopped her circling, and with a stomp, she was air bound. Eyes locked on her instantly. A subtle shiver went up Hilde's neck as she felt the chaos within those slitted eyes.
Yet Hilde had seen worse.
Fire and Brimstone had faced the flashes of chaos itself. Had borne the weight of existence.
Creator 79 had ripped the maws of a void wolf with her bare hands.
With her spark she had severed her own creation.
How was a battle-maddened goddess going to make her fear chaos?
Hilde's mind blanked for a split second then returned. Her attention leaving the goddess of destruction to settle on her right arm. The one that just like her left arm seemed to be covered in a gauntlet.
It was no gauntlet. The arm was the product of her research and desire to replace the lost one.
Her fist tightened as she looked into space like she was lost. When her gaze refocused she willed her imagination into being.
Right above her head the black sky of Mistrelon that seemed nonexistent sundered. Space tearing with a clap that was nothing like the normal thunder both girls remembered from their real world.
Blue orbs gazed with amazement. Purple slits shook with terror. Both stared as the torn sky was peeled apart. Like a hole pushed apart by two hands the sky parted. Both girls shook even more. One with terror and panic now clouding her battle lust and the other with a heartrending and shaking desire to answer the call within the parted skies.
Yet Hilde's minds did not give in. The Arm of Culdre rose, skin of Lesaton flexing like true flesh.
Then the flash came, the clap and peal of the descent was so loud and great that it made all who beheld... no...all who existed all Mistrelon even Hilde herself to react. Because for the first time in Mistrelon the skies were revealed.
Earth was beautiful, Vaustaris was marvelous, Dylaeria was okay. But what was revealed made both Hilde and Faora to stiffen in shock.
Yet before any could react or question their eyes the sight was gone, and a beam as thick as the pillars of the World Forge descended upon the Arm of Culdre sending power beyond anything the creators had ever felt through the Creator of the Star Rings.
.
Cain stood like a giant as he bore witness to the dawn of his epoch. His left hand absentmindedly caressed the cheek of the angel who had led the squad that brought such good news to him.
Then the sky above flashed, fast and without pause. For any other being it would have been too short to be caught. For him. It was enough.
'Even the heavens are here to herald my ascension'. Conveniently ignoring what he just saw in the black sky above the Creator of Helios roared with triumph at what he convinced himself as the signs and wonders of his coming era.
"No time to waste. Even the heavens are with me".
Before Cain did anything else though he looked up to the side where just as he assumed the Raven hovered its black with red dotted eyes watched. Just as it had been watching from the very beginning.
Now it would show the world, and all would bear witness to his greatness.
