Chapter 104 - Avarice 2

The Sundered sky was gone. The flash of Mistrelon's truth gone. Two sights, one breathtaking and the other core tightening were replaced by one that made purple slits of her eyes narrow.

The sight was one that anyone who was watching would have marveled at. Below hovering just 10 inch off the slowly corroding white ground of Mistrelon was a ball of purple and black energy, an entity of half dragon feature cocooned in its safety.

The entity above was the total opposite. If the fugure below was a dragon then this one was the knight to slay the dragon. If it was cocooned in chaos then this one was free of chaos. An arm was wreathed in thunderous sparks. None would call them mere electric bolts. Each spark had the width of a branch, and there were several running up and down the arm. White glares shone from the slits of its helm and the surroundings around was wreathed with a storm of elements.

Each strike of a stray bolt shattered the earth and the wind whipped up a fury.

"Now I ask. Will you..."

"Yes".

" Then, wait what...?".The knight halted in disbelief the answer being quite anti climatic for the show of strength.

Faora of course didn't think so after all she unlike the knight knew the strength in origin abilities. And if she felt danger with even her shell and scales active then surrender was wise.

.

Cain realized his ascension would have to wait as the walls of blood as he called them repelled him. His attempts to break through were not so welcome as shown by the scorch marks lining both him and they grounds.

"I found you!" Cain roar as veins budged out the side of his neck. "You will let me in!" his voice was strained, his tone maddened and his eyes shook with rage.

Motes of golden light gathered from all around him, the surroundings dimming with each light speck that joined his hands.

"You will move from my path. Pulse of Helios" In Cain's hands a sun shone, his skin seemed to wither from the effect as he aged several decades in a second. Yet the Creator stood. With a roar that defied the blood wall a beam of thick and condensed golden light with white mist oozing from it's sides blasted straight into it.

"Fall you blasted obstacle. Fall!" Cain visibly aged more, the red beam of energy thrummimg up into the dark sky and down to Mistrelon pulsed with energy. Cain ignored it fueling his sun with his will. The sun burned hotter with his will and the beam strengthened.

The crispy cracking sound of glass filled Cain's ears like the songs of victory. His will burned and reforged in the news and Cain brought a foot forward. For a man who had been cowardly to go against the King of the Undying Cain showed no hesitancy here. His skin wilted even more and his Will burned, his eyes flashed with Greed and the grounds beneath his feet shook.

Cracks split not just from the wall but beneath him. The blood light pulsed more and Cain thought he felt the wall strengthen. He raged, his sun flared brighter and with a blast of angered, greedy will a ripple of energy surged off the sun and into the beam with a thrum that shook the space of reality.

BOOOOOOM!

The ground cracked, shards and pieces of white stone and red ice glass flying off. The sun whirled and sputtered before snuffing out.

Smoke rose from the walls where he had struck with everything he had and his eyes gleamed dully as he looked through the space he had just blasted through.

'I did it'.

For the first time in Creation Online Cain felt true fatigue. Not the mental kind that Hilde might have felt from a hard and long battle. No the true real life fatigue. Beads of sweat rolled down his forehead and face, down his neck and into his toga.

Yet the Creator of Helios shook himself off. He would be damned if fatigue was what stopped his ascension. Rest would be earned. The round shield appeared in his left arm and in his right a long spear. Motes of system light weaved out a Corinthian helmet for his head and on his body the armor burdened him.

A step brought him to his knees spitting blood and gagging. His legs shook and a pain from deep within his body warned he keep in place. Cain was adamant. Who knew if the wall would regenerate, or if there would be beasts to block his path.

'Indeed I have angels' he remembered with a chuckle. A glance back brought his creations to sight. As far back as they could have fled they were now speeding back to him having received their maker's call for them.

'Perfect children.'His mental commendation was unheard as he pointed forward before they could arrive. Noting their appalled looks ar his appearance he stifled a grimace.

The angels made no move to stay back anymore as with grim determination the squad pushed forward into the hole.

Cain hesitated for a second, not from fright or unsureness. No his wait was a second reprieve, a moment for a sun titan as The Will had called him to gather his strength.

Cain was weak in any world without light, a sun or a star. But he would make do. With a heave of his godly muscles the last standing Tri-creation god sortied forward.

His eyes showed the only fuel for his will and energy. Greed for ascension.

[Axis of The Spark]

Hilde had been astonished at the level of power the single skill could show. Even more was the feeling she got that her divinity which had never felt like it had an end suddenly felt drained.

Whatever Origin abilities were, Hilde knew for certain that it wasn't wise to use them as she just did. At least not at this stage. In fact Hilde had the feeling that she wasn't meant to have even figured out a way to bring out the energy.

First was from splitting it from her divinity and now by actively using an arm made just to control and wield the ability.

Yet all the doubts she had on using it paled with the feeling that coursed through her cells as the lightning filled her. It was like her divinity but more. It was something else. Unlike divinity which made her stronger, gave her more reserves to act with and energized her. This was something on a whole different level.

It made her powerful yet at the same time she knew that her body couldn't hold it's power. Her cells could not be crumbled and remade quickly enough to reach a state to hold this power.

'It would end me'. The thought shook her. But it didn't make her dally. Suctioning the rest of the energy she had just gotten out of her body was harder. Fortunately, it was easily done as the power seemed to have no desires to end her and as such flowed into the Arm of Culdre.

Then rose a new problem.

Hilde for all the thoughts to not die to the power and her desire to be rid of it refused to waste such energy. As she lost the energy of the storm she dropped simultaneously grasping any and all of the power that gathered into her palm.

Falling at high speeds to the ground she found only one option. So without hesitation, she cast the skill.

[Cosmic Construct]

There was no use for imbue, nothing could hold and withstand this power. Only construct was the answer and it would also be barely enough to withhold the Spark from ripping through and into Mistrelon.

Her mind blurred for a second drawn to what she'd seen in the sky. With a severe head shake, she focused, even a slip would loose this power. So she focused and she thought.

What could hold this much power without bursting apart?. A weapon something she could use, armor for protection.

'No, More energy could displace the one in it leading to a meltdown.' Armors were scratched off. Which brought her back to weapons.

'The energy seeks to be free or used' I thought. It was rampant, that was its natural state. 'Something forever moving. Something untethered and wild. Aloof and in the clouds'.

The thought clicked instantly. Who said it had to be a weapon, or I had to use it as one. While it felt draining I was certain of my capability to summon yet another beam of spark. Which meant I didn't necessarily need this one.

But, the time between summoning and descent had been far and in a fight could mean a lot. Not all my enemies would have remained still or been as terrified as the dragon eyed one below.

Which left me with only one choice. I needed easy and fast access to the capabilities of the Spark. It filled me with so much energy and power that a long usage would have destroyed me. Long usage.

'Do I have to use it for long. Even better with all this energy and its potency. Do I need all'. The ground was fast approaching as I poured divinity around the Spark. I knew how hard this would have been if the energy sought to hurt me. Luckily it didn't, I just couldn't bear it's power. The light brightened and condensed as I carved it with my mental eye.

BOOM.

The ground shattered as I landed, the golden light of divinity pulsed brighter as I drained as much divinity into the construct. Just as I began feeling woozy the mental click that the construct was done went off in my head.

Instantly cutting off my divinity I took in my hand work.

Hanging from my fingers was a green metal choker band. It was styled and had a golden inscription flowing from flowery etchings into runic writings. I couldn't withhold myself from adding runes.

The metal band was large enough to cover a huge portion of my neck almost serving as good defense to beheading. But it was neither the band nor its defence that nwas eye catching as I equipped it.

Settled into the center of the metal band, at the spot where both bands met to form a letter M hanging from between the letters legs was a golden jewel. Orb. Stone.Metal. Or iron.

I was unsure. All I knew was the spherical center it possessed where a glow throbbed. Around it a mane like the hairs of the sun stretched.
