Samantha couldn't stop thinking about Logan and their encounter in the woods. She wanted to see him again, to talk to him and learn more about his world. But she knew it wouldn't be easy. Logan had made it clear that their relationship was forbidden, and she didn't want to cause any problems for him or his pack.
One day, she was working at the café when Logan walked in. He sat at the counter and ordered a coffee, and Samantha's heart skipped a beat. She tried to act casual as she poured his drink and placed it in front of him, but she could feel the tension between them.
"Hi," she said, trying to sound casual.
"Hi," Logan replied, his eyes fixed on hers.
"How are you?" Samantha asked, feeling self-conscious.
"I'm good," Logan said, his voice gruff. "But I need to talk to you."
"About what?" Samantha asked, her heart racing.
"About us," Logan said, his eyes searching hers. "I can't stop thinking about you, Samantha. And I know you feel the same way."
Samantha nodded, her heart pounding in her chest. "I do," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
"I want to be with you, Samantha," Logan said, his voice filled with emotion. "But it's not going to be easy. My pack won't accept you, and humans won't accept me. We'll have to keep our relationship a secret."
"I don't care," Samantha said, her eyes shining with determination. "I want to be with you, no matter what."
Logan reached out and took her hand, his grip strong and reassuring. "Then let's do this," he said, his voice filled with determination. "Let's be together, no matter what the world thinks."
Samantha nodded, her heart overflowing with love and hope. She knew that their relationship wouldn't be easy, but she was willing to fight for it. She was finally where she belonged, in the arms of her mate, the lone wolf.
