The group all climb out from underneath the bed and dust themselves off.
"Wow, did we actually just get away with that?" Galaxy questioned.
"Do not know how much of a narcissistic dumbass you have to be to not search a potential hiding spot of one "criminal", two kids bought by the government, and a possessed rabbit ragdoll," Darla laughed.
"We are not kids," The siblings stated firmly at the same time.
"Whatever. I assume since we are on the mainland, I know of a place we can go that is completely safe from the chance of being caught," Darla explained.
"Tell that to the hundreds of guards roaming everywhere," Galaxy remarked while pointing out the open doorway.
Darla and London walk to the doorway only to see hundreds of guards roaming about the area. Zipper climbs to London's shoulder and flops over like someone putting a towel on their shoulder.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I should've picked you up, so you didn't have to do all that work," London told Zipper.
Zipper shakes his head and waves his little ragdoll arm as if saying that he did not mind.
"No matter, how are we supposed to get passed all those guards?" Galaxy asked, aiming at Darla.
Darla thinks for a moment.
"We will sneak around and attempt to get away from this area, so we do not get caught and get reported as refugees," Darla suggested.
A mutual agreement to Darla's plan is made and they exit the doorway. The group begins sneaking around, looking for their first place to hide.
"We can hide behind those giant crates," Darla whispered as she pointed out the crates.
They all rush over to the crates in a quiet manner and take a breath. London pokes his head out from behind the crates and surveys the premises.
"I'm not totally sure if we can get past those two guards in front of that tent. Where we need to go next is in their line of sight," London explained.
Zipper climbs off London's shoulder and stares directly at the guards. A black and purple ball of energy begins forming in front of Zipper as he forces it down to a smaller point with what is supposed to be his hands. The energy ball stops forming as he pushes it gently off into the air. It follows an inconsistent path toward the guards and floats above them as black fog falls from the dissipating energy ball.
"Why are we doing this?" The first guard questioned.
"I don't know. Let's quit and get married!" The second guard exclaimed.
The first guard picks up guard number 2 bridal-style as they drop their weapons and leave the area.
"Wow. If that isn't a case of a match made in heaven, I don't know what is," Galaxy remarked quietly.
Zipper shrugs as if he doesn't know where the "let's go get married" part came in.
"Oh, they were so gay for each other. I could clearly tell," London stated.
"How the heck?" Darla asked.
"I can explain it to you, but I can't guarantee you would understand it," London said.
"Fair enough," Darla replied.
"Guys, focus! We must get out of here!" Galaxy whispered loudly.
Zipper points out the exit that the two guards went to. They all get up and attempt to find a free opportunity to either run to the exit or hide behind more objects. London picks up Zipper as Galaxy signals to hide behind another set of crates. Again, they rush behind some crates sitting close to the exit.
"What is it now?" London asked, clearly annoyed.
"There are three guards blocking the exit. We can't just waltz up there in orange jumpsuits," Galaxy sarcastically explained.
The siblings turn around to Darla checking herself out in the compact mirror she got from the ship.
"Darla, this is no time to be checking up on your appearance!" London exclaimed quietly.
"Of course, it is," Darla replied.
Darla walks out from the crates in a dazzling, navy blue dress while purposefully showing off her beautiful legs.
"Hey boys. I seem to have wandered in here and I can't find my way out. Can one of you handsome men help me?" Darla asked in a seducing voice.
The guards to the right and left scoffed rudely and rolled their eyes as Darla's eyes twitched.
"Glady, malady!" The guard in the middle exclaimed.
Darla wraps her arm around the guard that volunteered to help and brings him close.
"Just know that you will be the only one conscious after this," Darla whispered in the guard's ear.
Darla kicks the hell out of the guard to the right who scoffed at her instead of offering to help.
"What rude gestures! What happened to help a pretty lady out?!" Darla yelled, chunking her high heel at the other guard, knocking him out.
"Wow…" The guard murmured.
Darla gives the man a quick kiss on the cheek and waves at him as she leaves with the siblings, hand-in-hand.
"How the hell did that work?" Galaxy questioned Darla.
"Not sure, I opened the mirror and my outfit turned into this beautiful dress. Thought I could use it to seduce one of the guards and clearly, it worked," Darla bragged.
Running footsteps can be heard from behind the group.
"Wait!" The guard Darla had tricked yelled from behind them.
He catches up with them and takes a breather. He swiftly gives Darla a piece of paper and it has a phone number on it.
"I don't mind if you call me or not, but just in case, here," The guard said.
"What's your name, honey," Darla asked in her seducing voice while putting her hand on his face.
"R-Roy…" Roy stuttered as his face turned bright red.
Roy is a muscular man built for the military and was stationed at Base 46A a year prior (the station guarding RI's ship cabin). He has short, cobalt blue hair and the same color eyes due to an extremely rare mix-up of pigment DNA.
"What a handsome name. I'll be sure to give you a call, Roy," Darla giggled as she took the paper from his hand.
"What's your name?" Roy asked back.
Darla got a bit nervous but came out honestly.
"Darla. I know this looks bad, but we are just trying to get out of here!" Darla said trying to quickly explain herself.
"Ah, the "criminal" they sent to RI," Roy stated with air quotes.
"You believe I'm innocent?" Darla replied in question.
"Obviously. It was rumored after you were sentenced that you didn't commit the crimes and they sentenced an innocent woman to death. The fact you lived through RI is impressive and I knew you had hidden somewhere in the cabin, but the boss didn't want to check because of his massive ego," Roy told.
"Guess if you did, you would not have met me personally, huh?" Darla teased.
"I'm glad I did," Roy added.
Darla realizes the situation Roy is in and her eyes widen.
"You must go back! If the other guards realize two of them are knocked out and you missing, they might catch us!" Darla exclaimed, trying to convince Roy to return.
Roy, too, realized what situation he is in and begins running back.
"I hope to see you again, soon!" Roy yelled while running back to the exit.
Darla holds the siblings' hands again but clenches them a bit too hard.
"Darla, what's wrong?" London questions quickly, trying to keep his pace with Darla's
"He was so nice. Something about him I just can't stop thinking about. I can't believe I tricked that poor man!" Darla yelled out of frustration.
The siblings stop Darla as she begins crying and collapses to the ground. Everyone goes to hug her as the sun sets behind them.
"I hope to see him again, too," Darla said in a shaky voice while wiping her tears.
"I'm sure he won't forget about you as you won't forget about him," Galaxy reassured as they all sat together, watching the sun set below the horizon.
