Chapter 10 - Consequences of Their Actions

[WARNING! TRAUMA/TRIGGER WARNING!]

Kat knelt in front of the toilet as she violently vomited. She felt so sick to her stomach. She felt like she was living in a sick, twisted game and had no way to win.

She was mentally and physically exhausted, and just wanted everything to be over with.

After Richard and Elise got done with their hours long rendezvous, she thought that would be it.

But little did she know that Richard planned to humiliate her even more that night.

RING! RING! RING!

Her iPhone chimed from ontop of the sink of her bathroom. Lifting herself up slightly, she plopped back down into a sitting position. She tried to lift herself up, but her arms were so weak that she didn't have the strength. Her stomach was churning and her mouth was very dry.

Mustering up whatever spit she could, she licked her lips before reaching to bring down her phone to her ear. Without even looking at the front of her phone to see who was calling, she answered it

"Hi sweetie!" Her mother's voice chimed through the speaker. If she had known that it would be her mother then she would have never picked up.

"Hi mom," Kat replied. Her voice was very shaky, and she tried her best to sound normal. She didn't want her mom to worry about the situation that she was in, knowing that her mom cared for her dearly. Her mom already had severe anxiety from a past event, so she did not wish to subject her to more worrying and cause a decline in her health.

"What's the matter baby?" Her mother asked, obviously hearing the shakiness in her voice.

"Nothing mom," Kat replied, forcing a smile on her face and hoping that it would relay in her tone.

"I am just a little under the weather, but don't worry I took medicine for it." Which Kat knew was a lie.

Her mom continued to talk happily about her daughter and her achievements. She boasted about how proud she was of her career accomplishments, and just how much she loved her and appreciated her for being the best daughter in the world. She wished Kat all of the happiness in the world with Richard and spoke about how great of a catch he was.

Once again, tears welled in Kat's eyes as she listened to her mother happily going on about how much she loved her daughter.

"I love you too mom," was the only thing Kat could manage to get out.

After the conversation was over, she hung up the phone and laid down on the cold, bare tile of the bathroom floor. She was feeling very dizzy from al from all of the torture, Richard had just subjected her to.

Richard and Elise had thought it was a fun idea to shove bottles of liquor down her throat. She had drunk too much and way too fast, she knew. Now she was facing the consequences of their actions. For only a few hours later, she was unable to function as she laid on the bathroom floor.

Unable to think, clearly, Kat reached onto the counter, where a bottle of pills had laid next to her phone. She popped open the bottle, shook out what could fit in the palm of her hand, and threw them in her mouth.

With a few gulps. She swallowed them. Some couldn't make it down without water, so she dropped them out of her mouth.

She laid there for a few moments and closed her eyes. She didn't know how much time went past before she blacked out.
