Wolf had been to his company for several days now. He attended many meetings and conference calls during those three days. He was extremely busy, often getting into the workplace at 5 AM and not leaving until close to 11 PM.
But each day he was there he was waiting on one person. He was waiting on Katalina Hunter.
He had seen Richard Gibbs there though, but he had not seen his "said to be" girlfriend. He had often walked past Richard joking and laughing with his coworkers. Also being flirtatious with the women who frolicked around him. He was disgusted at men who couldn't control themselves in the workplace. All they saw were women and shirt skirts.
Every day he had asked for his secretary, or Miss Stafford, the same thing. To bring Miss Hunter to his office. But every day he got the same responses. That she had not shown up for work. It has been three days now and there was no sign of her.
Wolf tried his best to study Richard Gibbs' mood to see if there was any sign of anything being wrong with his girlfriend however, there was no sign of it. That was the only thing that didn't make him worry. Maybe she had caught a cold and just needed a few days? Who knows?
Katalina Hunter. Even though he tried to trust in her little boyfriend's mood, something still didn't sit right with him. How could a woman who was so ambitious about her career not show up for three days. Without any contact or explanation?
KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK.
Christian entered through the door with his secretary, Lyma.
"Mr. Wolf. We are ready. We have what you asked for."
They both sat down on the sofas that were lined up perpendicular in front of his office desk. Lyma sat the documents that she held in her arms on the coffee table in front of it.
"Here's what we have found out, Boss." Christian said first.
"It appears, as though the young Ms Hunter that you knew is not the same Ms Hunter anymore."
Christian began going down through the details that he had gathered from other drivers of the company who had heard gossip amongst each other.
The reports showed that Ms Hunter was demoted for a project that he never authorized to be given to her. It was an unjust matter that he would not overlook. Her mood and appearance was gloomier with each day that passed, and her brain wasn't there while she was at work anymore.
Her dress code changed to follow her sudden decline as though she made no effort in her upkeep.
The more and more Christian reported on, the more Wolf's face turned sour. He didn't understand what could prompt such a change.
Until Christian divulged when this started happening. It was approximately nine months ago. A few months after the rumor that she was dating Richard Gibbs got out.
Wolf sat back with his arms crossed against his chest as he looked down at the documents in front of him.
"And there's no sign of her?" He asked.
Shaking her head, Lyma explained that Ms. Hunter had turned in her resignation letter on the last day that she was here. However, it didn't make sense because her resignation letter promised her stay with the company until the two weeks was up. So she concluded that it was highly unlikely that the young lady just quit showing up to the workplace.
Wolf rubbed his stumbled cheek, where his 5 o'clock shadow was starting to come in. It looked like he would have to do a little bit more cozying up to Richard Gibbs. But the way Wolf worked, meant that he would befriend his enemies first before the final kill.
Clicking his tongue together, Wolf looked up at the two sitting across from him.
"Call Mr. Gibbs to my office. I would like to meet him."
"Hello Richard, Mr. Wolf would like for you to come to his office, please."
Richard stared at the delicious looking secretary that stood in his doorway. Lyma, he thought her name was? He couldn't take his eyes off of the seductress. She was exactly the type of woman that he liked to toy around with. Seeing as how she kept her eyes low to the ground, she had exactly what he was looking for in a submissive woman.
He cocked his left eyebrow up and looked over at Elise who failed in comparison to the CEOs secretary.
"Tell him I'll be right there."
Ellise waited for the secretary to leave before she questioned Richard about what the CEO's intentions might be. Shrugging his shoulders, he didn't reply. He just stared at the door where the young secretary had walked out of.
Wow, she's hot he thought. He would love to get to know her personally if the CEO wasn't already fucking her himself.
"I'm not sure Elise but come on, I have to introduce myself. Grab my coat and my glasses off of the desk."
They made it to the elevators, where Elise pressed the top floor. Richard was very surprised that the young CEO had called for him. He must've heard about what a great job Richard was doing, he thought. He must be here to reward him, he guessed. After all that he had done for the company, he was almost certain that he would be noticed by the CEO.
He fixed his glasses and his coat jacket a bit before the elevator bell rang for them to depart from the lift.
They made their way out of the elevator where there were two counters on each side, preventing you from walking into the CEOs office without them noticing. The young secretary sat at one of them, while the other was left empty.
The CEO had always had only one secretary for as long as Richard could remember so he had no idea why he needed two desks in front of his office.
Lyma got up and lightly knocked on the door, signaling that his guests had arrived. Elise and Richard both entered the office one after another. Mr. Wolf was sitting with his back to them in his desk chair looking out of the window. He had both of his hands in his suit pockets and was intently gazing out of the window, as though there were something particularly interesting down below.
"Go ahead and have a seat." The Wolf said over his shoulder, without even turning to look at them. Richard and Elise both took their seats on the sofas that were lined up in front of his desk.
It took several moments for Mr. Wolf to turn around, and when he did, he looked rather shocked.
"Which one of you is Richard Gibbs?" he asked. Obviously, it was a joke, because Richard was the only other male in the room.
Laughing, Richard raise his hand at the ridiculous joke.
With a serious face, Wolf pointed towards Elise.
"Then, why are you in my office?" He asked very sternly. His face was bunched up as though he were in disgust. Richard felt the tension in the room thicken instantly.
"You come only when I call. Not of your own free will."
Elise jumped up out of her seat and quickly scurried out of the CEOs office.
"Now, shall we begin?" Mr. Wolf asked after he seated himself at his desk. he started off by introducing himself, and how he started building his company. The way he explained his direction and himself kind of gave Richard an understanding of what he meant.
It almost seemed as though he were hinting just how much more achievements the CEO had made that his employee. Richard felt the coldness in the CEOs voice, although he tried to sound welcoming. He was no fool and was very smart. His father had taught him well. He knew right away when he was not liked but tolerated.
As though the Wolf was only tolerating his prey.
