Chapter 3 - A miraculous discovery

Queen Arabella Deoz, wife of King Rene Deoz, whose life took a wrong turn for the worse, after she lost her husband, and her entire Kingdom, in just three days after the intrusion of the monstrous Mogs.

She and the few surviving kids came through the longest dark tunnel ever known to Man, towards the roads to Indemnity.

Instead, they got stranded for days unending in the wildest of all forests...the forest of the FROZEN.

Where the only weather known to this forest, was the agony of an endless Winter. Its heavy downpours of endless snow created the coldest breeze which could even freeze the blood veins of a Man, into a frozen statue. As well as the continuous howling of the wildest Wolves, as they hunt in packs, was another frightening aspect of the FROZEN forest.

Arabella and her three kids, fortunately, found themselves, far away from the territory of the wolves.

Unbeknownst to them, they were yet to experience the lurking dangers from the territory they currently found themselves in.

It was a part of the FROZEN forest, where, even the wildest of all wolves, were afraid to find themselves. It was the territory of the infamous place called the Bloodlust...due to the tallest and grandest tree in its middle, known as the thorn of TUTUS!

It was a very unique tree, its first sight comes with bewilderment, going closer to it, was wonderous, and yet, a single touch was all it took, to experience an endless bloodthirst. Where a feeble creature, transforms into a Monstrous bloodthirsty beast, while the already vicious beasts meet their end, along with the most agonizing death, upon its single touch...A single touch was all it needed.

The ancient tree of TUTUS grows in the rarest of places. It grows with only thorns without any leaves and only blossoms once every thousand years. That is to say, it has its positive and negative aspects.

The thorns simply prick to transform a Man into a vicious beast, while the blossomed flowers, an amazing mixers of all colors, which sends its beholder, into bewilderment, were the purest remedy, which cures any kind of ailments, which ever existed on Earth...except death.

Arabella and her crew took the path to seek shelter, after the cold breeze of winter, and surrendered their bodies to shivers and cold, as their feet and hands froze from the immense cold. The howling of wolves as they trekked forward, was another unfortunate encounter on their road to freedom. Yet, with deep relief, the howling was heard much farther than where they currently were.

Upon their wonderous and fruitless treks for hours, with no sight of suitable shelter, Arabella and her crew of Kids, came across the tallest lone tree they have ever seen.

Its flowers blossomed so beautifully, with a mix of different colors. What amazed Arabella was that this was the first time she had ever come across a tree, as spectacular and mightier as that. It was as if it never existed before, then suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Its tallest height was an intriguing aspect and the unique growth of thorns as it leaves. A tree without leaves, yet it blossomed with an amazing color of different kinds of flowers.

Arabella gathered the kids near, as they took steps to seek shelter under that tree.

It was the only tree standing as she stared far and wide, for any hut or branches to make fire for some heat, to keep themselves warm.

Seeta, one of the few Kids Arabella was always fond of, back at the Kingdom, held her hands out to pluck some flowers from the tree, but the thorn mistakenly poked her finger. She winced from pain which called Arabella's attention to her.

Strangely, Seeta's cold body a while ago suddenly became warm, so warm that Arabella had to use her to bring some comfort to her frozen hands. She wondered what miracle happened for Seeta to grow so warm, and the heat radiated from her body and spread to bring all of them comfort, as they all surrounded Seeta to keep themselves warm. Seeta was like a burning fire.

Suddenly, Arabella lifted her eyes to stare at Seeta, and she noticed the change in Seeta's eye color...It was bloodshot with red! and Seeta fell unto the iced floor as if experiencing a seizure.

"Stop! Don't touch her!..." A Man's hoarse voice was heard afar, which paused Arabella's hand in midair, as she bent to check on a feverish Seeta.

The Man increased his steps in a hurry and squatted before Seeta to check on her.

"It's starting to get mixed with her blood, but it hasn't reached her heart yet..." The Man turned to stare at a confused Arabella, as she held Roga and Maridine, tightly to her side.

"Don't worry dear...that's good news, she could still be cured before she turns vicious and the bloodlust consumes her." Was the Man's strange answer, which further confused Arabella.

"Vicious, Bloodlust? Who was he referring to?" Arabella had no idea she uttered her confusion allowed, until the Man stood up and plucked a brownish-green petal from the tree, and smashed it into his hands. And put a few droplets of it into Seeta's open mouth.

Like a miraculous Sorcery, Seeta's eyes changed from the bloodshot, and her eyes came back to normal before her eyes closed once more, and she finally went into a complete slumber.

"What happened...Is she okay?" Arabella asked in worry.

"She would be...just asleep for now!" The Man replied pleasantly.

"What happened to her? She suddenly became soo warm and fell to the ground, feverish." Arabella asked, suddenly curious.

"Well, that's the unique effect of the Thorn of Tutus, all it needed was a single touch, with bare hands, and it can send any living Creature into a mindless rampage of bloodlust." The strange man went further to explain to a still-confused Arabella. She still couldn't make out what the Man was talking about. Seeta was only pricked by a thorn from a tree. How could one turn vicious and become bloodthirsty, simply from being pricked by a harmless tree?

In any case, She was only glad Seeta was alright, so she pleaded to the Man to seek shelter in his home until Seeta recovered.

The Man finally introduced himself as Satharus and gladly invited them to his abode. He carried Seeta on his back as they made their way to his hut.

A few miles away from the FROZEN forest...

Zach Sanander grew up into a fine specimen of an honorable Man, who lived an ordinary life with his Mother and young brother...Andre Foster.

Andre was named after his late Father. It so happened that, in order to free Rene from the burden of his promise, Rachel Sanander, agreed to marry Andre. Who was sick and had a few months to live.

Rachel promised to take good care of him until he finally meet his end, which she did. But unfortunately, Andre didn't live long enough to meet his Son.

Zach lived an ordinary life after Rene's departure. His definition of life was to make an honest living and be grateful for anything small, as long as it wasn't stolen.

Zach's curiosity as a teenage boy growing up in the hearts of his Kingdom had always revolved around the world of Nature. Its beauty and unique existence, as well as the Supreme Being behind Nature's flawless existence.

Zach's insight into knowing more from Nature only left his curiosities with rhetorical question marks, which were never answered.

Yet, he knew deep in his heart that, a Supreme Being exists somewhere, somehow...Because, anything that exists, goes back to the beginner of all Creation, with no end to His Sovereignty.

A Strange Man badged into their village markets, riding on the fastest horse, which caught Zach's attention. His eyes protruded out of their sockets in horror, as he raced towards an unknown end.

"Isn't that Satharus, the outcast? wasn't he banished from the Kingdom long back? What was he doing here?" An old Man in their midst uttered, which brought Zach's head to attention.

"The great Satharus, the mightiest of all warriors?....that's him?" Zach asked in amazement.

He stood up from where he was seated to have a clear view of the Rider, but he was far gone, he was heading towards the direction of their Mighty Castle.

Judging from the horror on his face, whatever he came to deliver to the King, would shake down the roots of their Kingdom, and Zach was right...

Satharus rode on his fastest horse, until he reached the Castle, to deliver the news he heard from Arabella and the kids...The intrusion of the Mogs.

The Mogs were one of the scariest worst nightmares, any kingdom could ever be tested with. They never rest until they bring down an entire kingdom and its subject to ashes...The most dangerous creatures ever created on earth.

Even the sound of their name could send a Man into oblivion.
