In the future...
The soft laughter and the chatters mingled with the soft clicks from royal goblets filled with wine for making merry, were sounds coming from the Royal chamber of the newly-found Kingdom of Cyras. But suddenly, all the laughter and chatters came to a suspenseful silence, upon the arrival of the Kingmaker and Seer...Ratanold, who came to seek an audience with the King.
The expression on his face didn't look like he was here to deliver some good news. A moment that made King Syron tense with worry, was when Ratanold stood to speak instead of using their offered seat.
Ratanold was a trusted Kingmaker and Seer, who have been given the ability to have visions and foretold various glimpses into the future, and his sudden arrival meant he had one of his visions, and was here to deliver it.
"Your Majesty...It's bad news! I had a vision of impending doom upon our kingdom, and the offender this time was royalty...a royal heir." Ratanold informed the King, and the expression on his face was filled with immense fear and horror.
It just so happened that, his Queen was currently pregnant with his heir, and a long way into her pregnancy. But it seemed Ratanold had already seen the future of his heir, even before he was born into the world.
"But how?...the queen was yet to deliver my heir and you have already had a vision about him?". King Syron returned, seemingly tensed.
"I am only a Seer..my King, I don't control what I see, or what news gets broken through my visions, my only duty was to inform. In my vision, I heard a voice, and his word was..." A Royal heir, born into this Kingdom, shall lead it into great peril, on his twentieth year, in his month of birth." Ratanold repeated word for word, as he heard it, before he left the King to ponder upon the unpleasant news of his vision.
Meanwhile, this was the newly-found Kingdom Arabella and the kids settled in, after the name of their formal Kingdom became merely history into the ears of the current residents of the Renegade Kingdom. And it was now ruled by a benevolent Royal family...known as The Phasees, who seem to mostly adapt and instill the ways of the past generations into their rule. They had somehow led the Kingdom to greater prosperity, even after the intrusion of the Mogs rendered it unrecoverable in the past. How it came about, was simply a mystery to the new residents of the Cyras kingdom.
Unbeknownst to King Syron and Ratanold, they had no idea that, another Royal bloodline had invaded their kingdom from the past, and was about to bear a Royal heir for her late husband, the formal king of this same kingdom years into the past...King Rene Doez.
Back to Arabella's newfound home, the painful screams of labor ended after hours of childbirth, and were soon replaced with the outcry of a baby boy in their new home, with Diana...the lady who received and welcomed them into her home until now.
However, Arabella's three kids, Seeta, Roga, and Maridine made bets amongst themselves on the gender of the baby, so when they found out their Queen had given birth to a boy, it was now time for both girls, Seeta and Maridine, to pay back Roga for losing in the bet. Since he chose a girl, his princess as he called her. Now Roga had to face the consequences of his choice this instant.
Meanwhile, the labor was hard on Arabella, despite Diana's attempt to have a soothing labor, things suddenly went out of hand, and Arabella was bleeding profusely. Which had Diana worried and scared out of her wits. She was fully aware of the consequences of this bleeding after childbirth. Most parents didn't leave long to see their children grow up. This was really bad news.
Yet, the three kids who were unaware of these complications their Queen was currently facing after delivery, were running around in circles to catch Roga, who was running away from facing the consequences of his loss of the bet. His bet was to carry both girls one after the other, and roam the giant tree a hundred times...He was simply a nine-year-old boy, while Seeta was twelve and Maridine was just five years old. Roga couldn't bear the weight of Seeta, and Seeta didn't want to let it go. since Roga strongly challenged her during the bet. So now, Roga had no other option but to make a run for it, away from both girls, by running for his life. Since he was sure he couldn't bare Seeta's weight and wouldn't make it to ten counts, talk less of a hundred. He might simply end up dead for all that matters.
Diana on the other hand, came outside to meet the three lively kids running around, and she couldn't bear to tell them the unpleasant news of their Mother's condition now. Arabella drew her last breath a while ago, after begging her to take care of her baby and the rest of the kids. As if she was aware she wouldn't make it for long. She died after naming her baby...Arabella named her baby Lazarus Doez...before she drew her last breath.
It's now time for Diana to deliver the news to the lively kids before her, that their Mother was gone, and never to return. The sorrow within her as she would watch the kids' smiles, as well as the fear of what might replace those lovely smiles on their faces right now, after she gives them the unpleasant news, made Diana wish she wouldn't be the one to break the news to them. They would be so heartbroken.
Diana had been intrigued since Arabella and the kids stayed with her. She couldn't help but notice Arabella's pleasant character and how she gracefully carried herself, were simply out of this world. It was like she was from the olden days, she couldn't even make out certain things around the house. Arabella mostly stuck to the old ways and she does it with extreme elegance and gracefulness, like a high-class Royal queen, instead of a mere peasant like them. No wonder, the kids called her Queen.
But on second thoughts, Diana wondered if she was indeed a queen from where they came from, and maybe ran away to escape a harsh circumstances.
Diana's curiosity one day took the best of her, and she even asked Arabella about it, but it seemed Arabella preferred not to talk about her past life, she simply wanted to forget it all and leave everything behind, to start their lives here anew. Arabella even confessed to her about not having a family or anyone to return to, so it was better she not ponder upon a misfortune...and hoped it would all work out for the better.
Yet, from the children's childish comments, when Diana curiously asked them too, they claimed they were from this same kingdom, but It suddenly changed like magic. They even told her about how the scary beasts ruined their kingdom before its change. Diana was simply humored by the kids' childish comments and made nothing of it. They were children afterall.
Well, enough thoughts for now, and back to the most pressing matter. How should she break the unpleasant news of their mother's passing to them? She just hope they could handle it, and it won't break them completely.
Since Seeta was the elder and would understand her better, Diana called Seeta first to tell her the news.
"I know you are a big girl, so I want you to stay strong for your siblings, since your mother will no longer be here to take care of you all, but she gave you a cute little brother. I am sorry...Seeta, I really tried my best." Diana added, as the tears in Seeta's eyes began to flow continuously.
Seeta was a smart girl, and she completely understood what Diana meant by her few comments. She didn't even break down as Diana assumed, she held herself up, and turned toward her siblings to inform them too.
Both Maridine and Roga cried louder, when Seeta told them their Queen had gone to heaven, and was now together with their King.
They all hugged each other in tears. Now, they had no one but each other to rely on, as well as their newborn Prince, whom they would work hard to take care of from now on. Diana was simply pleased with how Seeta handled the situation, and she couldn't help but also wipe her tears and hug them all.
"Don't worry, kids, you would still have me, I would not abandon you all." Diana soothes their worries regarding their next step forward.
