Chapter 21 - Filming Starts

After the relaxing weekend it was finally Monday.The crew woke up at eight and had their breakfast then gathered at the basketball court."Good morning everyone and welcome to our first day of filming."Everyone clapped"As of today we are to be serious in our shooting,no lazing off and since you all know your parts it's your duty to perfect it.Listen to instructions given and no fighting or arguing with each other.We all know the plot but I'll explain it in detail.This is s love story between Yang Lixin and Ai Qing.Yang Lixin is the CEO of Yang Enterprise while Ai Qing is a supermodel under the name Stacy.In university Ai Qing was a fat girl who was always bullied for her looks but she always wanted to be a model.After university she made an oath to slim down and become like one of those models.Yang Lixin was one of those scary CEO'S who people feared and failure was not in his dictionary.No one knew about Ai Qing's past except her best friend and manager Zhou Yifeng.Then the story continues till they fall in love.I want this movie to be perfect.Another thing since all of you are going to be in the film,you will wear the uniforms designed."Director Kang clapped and some people brought huge pile of uniform.Meng Hui looked at them and shook her head.The staff started handing out the outfits and Meng Hui was the last"Director I'm not the movie why do I need to wear this?"Director Kang looked at her"Even if you are not in the movie you can wear it for uniformity."He looked at her nervously.He knew about her being Lu Xiao's assistant and also her background as the daughter of Meng Yi Ran but would never say it to anyone.He had seen her growing up since he was friends with Meng Yi Ran but Meng Hui didn't know him or at least couldn't remember him."Sure but I'm not wearing a skirt."She returned the uniform to the staff"What will you wear then?"Director Kang asked curiously.She pointed at the boys uniform"That."Everyone was shocked.Director Kang nodded and she was handed the boys uniform"Go and change then we'll meet outside in thirty minutes for make up.Meng Hui and Mei Xing went back to their rooms to get changed.Her uniform consisted of a white shirt with long sleeves,half black sweater,grey baggy pants and since she was a girl her tie was light pink with black lines.She paired her outfit with white sneakers and tied her hair into a messy bun.She looked at herself in the mirror then untucked her shirt and losened her tie."This is much better."She fixed her bangs.Mei Xing came out of the bathroom in her uniform but instead of pants she had a grey skirt with plaits"You look so handsome."Meng Hui looked at her"Don't I."Meng Hui turned around"You look beautiful just like how our star should be."Mei Xing blushed"Thanks let's go."Mei Xing held her hands and they went out.They stood with the rest then Lu Xiao arrived and the girls couldn't help but stare.Mo Xi Wan's face turned red as she kept looking at him"One day I'll be in those arms of his."She smiled as more thoughts came to her head"Meng Hui who is the handsome guy?"A crazy person that's who?"Mei Xing giggled as Lu Xiao and Meng Hui glared at each other"Don't glare at each other like that."She held both their hands and Meng Hui looked away.The staff finished making the make up tents and Mei Xing dragged Meng Hui and Lu Xiao to one of them.Mei Xing and Lu Xiao sat down as the make up artists arrived and started doing their make up.Meng Hui sat at the the couch looking extremely bored.After a while Meng Hui's phone rang and she saw Xixian's name displayed"I'll take this."Mei Xing nodded and Meng Hui went a little far from the tent and picked up the call"Hi Xixi."Hae,I've missed you so much."Meng Hui leaned on the wall"Me too so how's work?"It's fun and exhausting at the same time but I enjoy doing it."Meng Hui smiled"You are the best Xixi."I know that.How is the shooting has it started yet."Actually not yet but we are about to start.Everyone is getting their makeup done."That's exciting."Xixian suddenly turned quiet"Xixian what's wrong? Why are you suddenly quiet?"Meng Hui panicked"It's nothing."She then breathed"Meng Hui, Zhang Wei is dating Mo Xi Wan."She kept quiet waiting for a reaction"That's good for him."Meng Hui remembered the break up and felt hatred surging through her"You don't feel anything?"Xixian asked"Nothing just hatred."They talked then Meng Hui ended the call and went back to the tent and sat down.Mei Xing ran turned and ran next to her"Meng Hui how do I look?"She turned her face"Great."Mei Xing pouted"Just great."No beautiful."Mei Xing smiled"Much better."Lu Xiao looked at his best friend acting like a child and his assistant coaxing the child and smiled but no one saw it."Let's go."They all stood up and went out."I had forgotten,Mei Xing you need to be puffed up.Go into the dressing tent and they will make you look fat."Mei Xing went into the dressing room and after thirty minutes she came out looking fat.Meng Hui and Lu Xiao laughed as Mei Xing approached them"I feel so hot."Mei Xing fanned herself"I have so many clothes inside plus this extra large uniform."Meng Hui continued laughing"Hey stop laughing."She hit Lu Xiao and Meng Hui."Mei Xing"Director Kang called her"You look fat enough now don't worry about your face we will make it look meaty now let's go to class."Yes."They all shouted and ran to their assigned class.
