Leo went to the adventurers and the mercenary guilds to register again as a mage. People could say they are mages but someone with token and insignia from the mage association suggested that they have magic talent and are at least a first circle mage apprentice. That was the same power as a first circle knight. It was a given for him to get to "D rank" adventurer and mercenary in a very short amount of time. This was something that attracted a lot of attention from E, D and even C ranked groups of adventurers and mercenaries. They did not really believed the kid could be of use right now in terms of fighting. It was more of an investment for the future. They knew that Leo could aid their teams a lot when he matured and could use his powers freely. Leo did not know this then but mages could enhance weapons with their magic power to increase different stats of the weapon for some time. There were some other techniques that could enhance the weapon magickly for an unlimited amount of time but they were sold for magic crystals in the blacksmiths pavilion. The temporary magic enchantment could be bought by one gold coin from the blacksmiths as well. The enchantment was at least for one day. It depend on the magic power used by the mage. The good thing about the enchantment is that it could be used even by beginner mages with low magic power. It could increase the team power by a huge amount. Weapons that got boosted in power by a lot could save a lot of coins on weapons and increase the amount of earning the team could get by a large margin. Generally it could boost an adventurer or a mercenary powers team by a whole rank. Adventurers were ignorant about other magic abilities of mages but even with what they knew it was worth taking such kids and babysitting them. If those mages will mature in the future and be of help it will be great. Even if it wont happen it will be still a good type of support that will be popular among the different adventurer and mercenary teams. For now Leo told all those people he is not sure how he want to proceed. He told them that he was considering opening his own team and if it wont work out he will join one of the teams. The people that addressed him nodded with a smile while sneering from the inside. They believed that this kid was out of his mind to make something alone at the age of ten. They got to some kind of understanding between themselves to let the kid make mistakes and then come to them alone. This was a chance for them to get better conditions for their teams in the future comparing to what this kid will get right now in the negotiations process. Leo was very interested in those enchasing arts the mages could make. He wanted to go to the blacksmith pavilion later and find out what kind of enchantments he could use with magic. He looked at the sky that was darkening and decided to return to the "Sun Shine" inn. He took a carriage and after handing the driven a few copper coins as payment after arriving at the inn location he got out and was on the way to enter the building with the words "Sun Shine" written all over it when he spotted another carriage with the coat of arms he recognized very well. It was the coat of arms of the Shmidt family!
'What does this little girl want from me? Did she also wants to invite me her adventurer team? What a pain in the ass..' Leo thought.
He did not want to run away from her. He wanted to hear what she had to say and if he will understand that she is saying some kind of bullshit he will make a big effort the explain her in any way to leave him alone for good. He helped her before but that was for his own benefit in the end of the day. He got closer to the carriage of the Shmidt family and confirmed that there was no-one there but the driver only. After exchanging a few words with driver he understood the father daughter duo were waiting for him inside the inn.
After letting out a sigh Leo got into the inn. He saw that the duo was siting in the dining hall and eating dinner. They both had satisfied faces. Leo understood the reason for this. The food here was not really sophisticated but surely it was worth the price. When the father daughter duo saw Leo they abruptly stood up. Elly walked toward him and invited him to join them. Leo knew he did not really had any chances of running away from the duo right now and he was hungry and ready to have his dinner as well so he agreed.
When he got to the table he saw a man that resembled Elly in the hair color and some features of his face. He was burly, at a height of 1.9 meters and his name was Elen. Both Leo and Elen measured each other at the same time while Leo was walking to the table. Both felt danger from each other. It was not surprising because they were at the same level of power if we compare knights with mages.
Elen wanted to establish a good relationship with the kid because he needed his help. Generally he did not want to offend a mage. Even one that was with no backing from the report he got.
"Hi Leo. I heard a lot about you from my daughter. It is a pleasure to meet you. My name is Elen Shmidt and I'm the head of the Shmidt family. We came here today for a serious discussion but before we start please eat your meal with us. Talking about serious matters is bad on an empty stomach." Ellen said, while gesturing Leo at the table.
"Thank you, Sir" Leo said. He knew that he did not lose in status to this guy in front of him but he did not wanted to make the relationship bad before he heard what the duo had to say.
After the trio finished eating dinner they ordered different drinks and sat down for a talk.
