Synopsis
Between heaven and earth there is much more than humans can imagine. The gods take advantage of myths to act and rule over everyone without raising suspicion. Immersed in their desires and luxuries they survive amid the misery and bankruptcy of the kingdom of men. Hela is the goddess of the Dead, tired of seeing the living frightened by death and especially withering away in life. She firmly believes that the gods have forgotten their true purpose in the universe. After being betrayed, she was humiliated, imprisoned and sentenced to marry Ina and live with her for a thousand years in exile in the kingdom of darkness. Ina, the holder of the secret of eternal life and the key to paradise, was punished by all the gods after they felt disrespected in the face of the possibility of the finitude of their own powers. The two accepted their intertwined fates and lived together for a thousand years until they realized that they had ambitions to live together for all eternity. When the thousand years finally ended, one of them would be able to return to her life in the Kingdom of the Dead, while the other would remain imprisoned in the realm of darkness as a mere mortal ready to die at any moment. A countdown began with Hela desperately looking for a way to make Ina immortal once more, without any concern if she would be forced to fight or kill whether they were men or gods, no one would disturb her again. Only one thing was certain: Hela would not fail a second time. __________________ Support me and give me a gift! https://throne.com/moonssiide __________________ I don't own the rights to the cover image, it's an image taken from the internet and I couldn't find the author to offer the due credits.

Chapter 1 - Prologue, part. 1: Walk in steps surrounded by wolves.

"I, Zeus, as almighty, god of heaven and olympus, I am responsible for this judgment, power granted me today by Odin and Ejons I condemn you Hela goddess of death to marry Ina, you both will be condemned to exile for 1000 years in the realm of darkness and oblivion, no man's land. Something to say about the result of your sentence?"

Hela got up from her seat and faced Zeus, she didn't feel anything, not even anger.

Completely apathetic, she had already blustered, blushed and screamed.

There was nothing else to do but accept it.

"..."

She turned slowly and walked towards the exit of the court, in slow steps she could feel attentive eyes on her, all the other gods whether they were Norse or Greek stared at her in surprise at her audacious behavior.

Zeus who sat omnipotent in his place, acting like a king he sat on a throne and held himself higher than all others.

A disgusting old man who thought he was better than everyone.

Inside that place were gods from all over the world, be they Nordic, Greek, Chinese or African. They were all present.

It was somehow revolting to think that everyone shut up and simply watched the Greek gods acting this way.

She was just a small piece of this game that was no longer useful and could be discarded.

After all, a god being punished required a lot of need for a demonstration of power on one side.

Punishment was the realization of the victor's strength, no matter the struggle or motivations.

It was not simply a matter of winning or losing, but of power and ego.

Hela could see Hades not far away staring at her from afar, he shared an opinion somewhat similar to hers, but he didn't care enough to be in the same situation as her.

After all, humans were just humans, there was no need to think too much about them, it required no effort, just let them be extinct.

She simply looked forward trying not to care about someone like him, why should she care about traitors? In the end it was the same thought, it just wasn't worth it.

Zeus watched the silence and especially Hela's courage in simply leaving without looking back.

Of course it made him furious, but it was somehow amusing to see that woman acting like a rabid cat.

Get mad all you want is all you can do anyway.

"Very good. As you know, your sins are very serious and will not be tolerated and in the end only fits the greatest punishment among the gods. May luck be with you and may the marriage prosper... Take her."

Hela heard Zeus' final words and simply smiled, she would have bigger problems than arguing with him.

Finally the doors were opened and she could see the tangle of clouds.

Mount Olympus was really beautiful though.

She felt the light touch on her shoulder and briefly glared at whoever had the audacity and curiously received a smile in response.

It was Hermes. "Are you comfortable?"

Hela was not a particularly good-natured person, always cold and in a bad mood.

It wasn't as if she had a life full of joy, quite the contrary.

Hermes, unlike her, was smiling and carefree.

He would be responsible for taking Hela to her final destination.

It's not like it took long, but someone had to make sure she really did.

But in a simple snap of their fingers they had finally reached the Shadow Realm.

They were in lands dominated by Erebus, it wasn't just dark.

Everything was immersed in complete black with no light.

There was no duality between dark or light, things and their colors simply coexisted.

There are no layers or overlays.

Hermes walked in front, he was enough for everyone to ensure that Hela was in her rightful place.

Hela wasn't a person who knew many gods or knew a lot about the world, she lived for many years in Helheim without any interest in the outside world, her kingdom and her responsibilities were enough for her.

Offer support to the helpless, those who were and those who stayed.

She saw to it that souls were at peace.

Hermes, not knowing Hela's deep thoughts, walked softly with feather-light steps. "I hope you don't mind the handcuffs, it's not like I don't trust you, but it's the boss's orders..."

Hela watched Hermes smile and simply sighed.

Hermes was one of those people who always behaved in an ambiguous way, despite being someone trusted by Zeus he had friends and relationships with gods from all four corners and it was not uncommon to see him in Asgard or even in Niflheim.

"Hermes..."

"Yea?"

Hermes turned and what he saw was the woman raise her hands and break the shackles that bound her wrists.

It seemed really innocent to believe that she would be controlled by a piece of gold wrapped in lightning.

Zeus was really lazy for her.

"Shut up."

They had finally arrived, but for Hela it wasn't like she was in an unfamiliar place.

She felt used to places filled with darkness, mainly because she lived that way, but here it was particularly dark and lifeless, there wasn't even grass.

He faced the place and there was a high hill next to a staircase, it was impossible not to be there and not to observe the highest point, after all it was the only thing that had some kind of tone that stood out in the middle of the black.

If she knew the gods and their theatrical need for drama well enough there was probably something about them in there somewhere.

Hermes who naturally guided Hela smiled satisfied, really those handcuffs didn't suit her. He grinned. "You haven't changed at all… I never thought I'd see you get married in such a way."

Hela simply rolled her eyes, she didn't even imagine getting married, let alone a forced marriage.

Despite knowing that she wasn't in a good situation, she believed that Ina would be in a state as bad as hers, after all she couldn't even attend her trial and it was very clear that that marriage was a way to punish both of them, pleasing her. unilaterally those who chose that as punishment.

There was no love or knowledge about each other.

They would simply marry out of obligation to do so. "Does she know she is promised to me?"

Hermes heard the question and for the first time showed some kind of reluctance.

It was true that the gods didn't want to talk about Ina.

Hela throughout her stay on Mount Olympus could not find out much about the other woman and everything seemed to boil down to the fact that she had done something very serious and is being punished for it.

"No. She is worse off than you."

"Develop."

Hermes snapped his fingers again and appeared at Hela's side.

"She is blind..."

It snapped again and came up behind this time. "… and chained to the ground."

Hermes somehow had fun with that situation, he just couldn't stand the stillness of that place and desperately tried to calm his own heart.

Hela just ignored him. So noisy and unnecessary. "How long is the punishment?"

"Until she breaks the chains… But if she ever leaves here immediately she must become mortal, you know, here there is not even time interference."

Hela nodded, she could understand what Hermes was saying, they were in the middle of the void, the perpetual void, there was no time or space.

Everything was infinite in its own conception of existence, it was returning to the primitive life of the gods where they appeared in the midst of thoughts and interpretations.

Very similar to what Niflheim was in a simple concept.

"I understand. What about the eyes?"

Hermes stopped to think for a few moments, he had no answer for Ina's eyes, she had been blind since he knew her.

But even though she didn't have two good eyes, she had the all-seeing eye, but curiously she refused to use it since she was chained.

"Eternal. She can use the third eye, but she refuses."

"..."

Hela walked slowly behind Hermes and followed him through the staircase, they climbed higher and higher, leaving everything behind as if they were climbing a precipice.

"I heard that she defied the eternal life of the gods. Well, it's just rumors, they don't tell me much about her either..."

Hermes shrugged, despite being very sensitive to Ina's situation, he couldn't do much more than regret it.

Everything involving Ina became a big secret, nobody referred to her or what she once was, as if she had never existed.
