Lina's heart thundered like a storm as she sat stiffly in the passenger's seat of his car, her body leaning too close to the door in a desperate need to put as much space between them.
She still couldn't believe he had kissed her. Again!
Her mind still spiralled with shock. But it wasn't just the kiss that had her stunned and mortified. It was rather the fact that she had kissed him back and had covertly wanted more when he pulled away and took his warmth and lips with him.
Christ! Why had she done that? And why was she sitting in his car, letting him take her home?
Because you're helpless around him? Something whispered to her.
But was she helpless? Lina wasn't sure.
Like every other time since she laid her eyes on his godforsaken too-appealing face, he had once again had his way, manipulating her to hitch a ride with him, with an excuse of Serena being uncomfortable if she were to take a cab in her sleeping state.
