"What, what do you mean you have a new job?" Stanley asked after I told him to go home without me.
"Yeah, I am now the new waitress at Susie's Cafe," I said with a wide grin, proud that I got hired after Gwen submitted my application.
"Wow, and why didn't you tell me, about this job?" He asked feeling hurt.
"I wished to surprise you," I replied.
"We need to celebrate," he said happily and is could see the excitement all over his face.
"On my first day? I don't think that is a good idea, Stanley, I don't even get my first check yet," I responded, and he laughed.
"Don't worry, I will pick you up," he replied.
"No, I can take the bus, Stan," I said.
"On your first day? That is not happening, my dearest best friend," he responded.
"See you later then," he said and I let out a heavy sigh before walking towards the cafe, I was informed Gwen was transferred to the other branch.
