Selena's POV
Time flies so fast if I am with Skyler, and I hate to leave the beach resort, but I needed to go home because of my part-time jobs, and even if Skyler was telling me he would pay for my vacation, I said no. I know he had good intentions; he only wanted to spend more time with me.
I don't want my boyfriend to think I am pathetic. I need to have these part-time jobs so I can finish my studies and find a decent job, and I can be proud of myself for being called Skyler's girlfriend, even if I know his father liked me for what I am.
I don't want Skyler to be the laughingstock in Santa Clara for having a poor girlfriend who lives under his father's care. I want to create my name in this competitive world.
