Selena's POV
"Relax, Selena, everything will be okay, this is your night, and you have all the right to enjoy it," Stan whispered as I saw Kevin standing right next to me.
"I really want to be your date as a proxy of my beloved brother, but I don't want to ruin this beautiful night, and I will give you to Kevin since he is your official date for tonight," Stanley added as he handed my hand to Kevin.
I wanted to tell Stan it would be alright if he would be my date for tonight in his brother's absence, but there was no time as I could hear the party's host announce my presence.
I knew at this point I had to make my grand entrance and walked towards the center of the stage where a beautiful debutant wing chair was waiting for me. My boyfriend's best friend took my shaking hand and squeezed it as he smiled at me.
"Just calm down, Selena, you look marvelous," Kevin softly said, and everyone stood up and looked at me and Kevin walking towards the stage.
