Selena's POV
"Hey, Selene, wait!" I heard Skyler's voice behind me; after my encounter with Erika, I didn't want to see him.
I was running fast, and I wanted to get away from him, but he was an athlete and got long legs; I knew in due time, he would catch up with me.
Girls and boys were cheering for him while I could hear the thumping of my heart. I was panting, and I felt breathless, but I didn't want to see him. I ran through the stairs while I could still hear him calling me.
Girls were screaming his name while I doubled my effort until I reached a dead end, and I knew there was no way out.
"I didn't know you were a runner; if you want, I can introduce you to the coach of the truck and field division," he joked, but I didn't say anything, and I didn't even turn around to face him.
