Selena's POV
"Why are you not yet wearing your gown?" Skyler asked after he released me from his hold, and his question took me off guard.
"Gown? I am not going anywhere," I responded as I grimaced at him.
"Come on, Selene, you will be my date since Stanley was on his way to pick up his girlfriend." He said, and I knew my face lit up when I heard him say I would be his date.
"You told me you will be Erika's date," I replied.
"I asked Kevin to take my place, I am sorry, but I told Erika you are my girlfriend now," he said, and I could see the worries on his face, and I wished to inform him I would love to be his girlfriend.
"Are you sure she would be okay to have your best friend as her date?" I asked in disbelief.
"She has no choice, besides, I don't want to lead her on, Selena." He replied, and it felt like I was floating in the air, Skyler chose me over the hottest and most popular girl at the academy.
