Selena's POV
"I think we should head back to the dining hall. They must be looking for us." I said as I avoided Stanley's gaze. I knew he was waiting for my answer.
"Don't tell me you don't want him back." He said, and I let out a heavy sigh as I realized he wasn't finished talking about his brother and me.
"Of course, I want him so much, Stanley, but you can't stop me from feeling hesitant about it. I had been hurt, and you knew what I had been through after your brother broke my heart, and do you know what disheartened me the most?" I asked, and he shook his head as he looked at me with tenderness.
"I really hated myself that after all he had done to me, I am still really into him, and why can't I just fall for you? I know you would never hurt me." I added, and he smiled.
"Yeah, it was funny, right? Just like me, no matter how many times you told me you couldn't love me back, but I was still hoping one day you might." He responded.
