Seven Years Later
Selena's POV
Isla Verde became my home and refuge, and the island made me feel alive again. I admit I am not still over Skyler, but I learned to accept the reality that we weren't meant to be. I pretended I didn't know him as I navigated my daily life in a new place with new people.
"Are you sure you don't want to come with us?" Neil asked, and I weakly smiled at him as I shook my head.
I never expected I would find Neil in Isla Verde, and I don't know if it was a coincidence or fate that led us to meet again, but because of him, our house moving became bearable, and I adjusted quickly to our new environment.
Who would not love Isla Verde? It was one of the most progressive municipalities in the country. It was the number one tourist destination all over the world because of its beautiful white beach with seemingly endless shoreline, and most of all, it was so far away from Santa Clara.
