Skyler's POV
"I thought your coach would be okay if you were away for how many days?" Selena asked as I caressed her face, and I could see the sadness beneath her sweet smile. I am going to miss her, but my excitement about being back to playing basketball made me keep smiling as I spent my night with my girl.
"Your boyfriend is the most in-demand; don't you know many scouts called me?" I responded.
"Of course, you are great, Skyler, and I am so proud of you," Selena replied as she put her head on my chest, and I curled my arms around her as the cold night breeze brushed our skin.
"I wished to spend the night with you, but I needed to sleep in my room. I don't want to make it harder for both of us; it would not be easy to leave you when you are in my arms." I said, and she nodded her head.
"Yeah, you are right," she responded as I pulled her closer to me.
