On the stage, Lily stood there. Her blonde hair shone and she looked like a beautiful Disney princess. Her brown hazel eyes held so many emotions as she looked down at her sister. A smile swept up her face and she spoke into the mike.
" Hello everyone. I am the bride's little sister, Lily Ashley. And for your information, I am the only one. Hehe. Yeah, I think I am lucky too. So, the thing is, if I talk about my sister, I can go for forever but I don't want to tire you by doing that. So I'll give a short speech which will convey everything about my sister to you guys.
My sister is an introvert but she is a genius. She is indifferent yet passionate. She loves very few people but she loves them more than herself. She is the most amazing and the most beautiful person I've ever met. And I admire her. I want to become a grown-up like her when I grew up.
I remember the incident my mother told me about and it has always stayed with me. At that time, my sister was I think 4-5 years old. It was her first day at school. After she came back, for the first time ever, she asked for something. She requested something from my parents." Saying this, Lily's eyes got slightly teary. But she still tried to speak while hiding the emotions threatening to break out in her voice.
" For the first time, she ever asked for something. My mother said that Sis was so introverted and shy when she was small that she barely spoke but for the first time ever, she requested something. My parents were so surprised and emotional. And when they asked what it was, she said she wanted a little sister.
At first, my parents wondered if it was because of seeing others have a little sibling but later they understood. It was all because she didn't know anything about little siblings. So the first time she learned about it, she asked for it.
And then, I was born 3 years later. My sister is 8 years older than me but that never stopped us from being close. My parents said I was the apple of her eye. They say that a big sister is like a mother. That's true. She is just like Mama in taking care of me. Just like how Mama stays awake all night when I am sick, she would too.
We played basketball, football, tennis and a lot of games together. And just recently I realised, my sister always went easy on me. A month ago, I played basketball with her and I can't believe that I was 44 points behind her. She scored 86 while I scored 42. And what's ridiculous is that she was still not at her best."
Hearing her, everyone chuckled. Even Grace laughed. She looked at Lily with eyes full of love. Then Lily continued.
" But despite it all, I have something to say to her. Sis, I've always held a grudge against you... "
Hearing that, everyone was stunned. Grace was also surprised and looked at Lily. Lily's eyes were red like she was about to cry. Grace got serious and anxious as she listened to what she had to say carefully. The audience also held their breath nervously. Then they heard Lily speak in a trembling voice.
" Three years ago, you suddenly went abroad. You decided to continue your studies there. Sis, didn't you ever think how sad I would be without you? How lonely I would feel without you? I was still a baby who was used to being protected in her sister's warm wings.

As she said, Lily's tears fell. Grace felt very bad seeing that. She felt guilty for doing that to her sister. But she knew that's not what her sister wanted to make her feel. After stabilising her emotions, Lily spoke again.
" And then, finally after a long wait, you came back a few months ago. But it hasn't even been a year and yet again, you are going away. You are getting married. I feel like I am losing you, sister. Even though I know that I am your most beloved person, I still feel like you are marrying too soon.
But Sis... I want you to be happy. And I remember you once said I am like your first child. That I will be irreplaceable no matter what happens. So Sis, I'll let you go today because I really really love you.
Just like you love me, I love you. And I know I will be the dearest person to you so that's why I am letting you go. Even after you are married, I won't allow you to give me less time. I would still come to play with you every weekend. I would still cling to you like I always do."
The atmosphere lightened a bit and everyone smiled. Grace had red eyes too but she also smiled. She knew her decision three years ago was sudden and would hurt her family but at that time, she was helpless.
" Last but not least, Brother-in-law, as you know, we don't have a brother. We are the only ones to each other. So even though a brother usually says this, I'll say this today. Take care of my sister. Don't ever make her cry a single tear. She's everything to me. I am entrusting her to you.

As she was turning around, Lily suddenly turned back to the mike and said in a childish tone.

Hearing that, everyone laughed out loud. Hunter also laughed. But he felt respect for her. She is very young and obviously very spoiled but she didn't let her heart ever get corrupt.
