The wedding bells rang. The sound of waves sang. The wind whistled and the ocean hummed. The lights blinked and the priest spoke.
" Hunter Ally, do you take Grace Ashley, for your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until death do you part? "
Hunter took a deep breath. A few memories flashed in his eyes. The last one was of someone he looked up to. Someone he always wanted to have at this moment. Someone who loved him the most. With slightly emotional eyes, Hunter nodded and said.
" I do."
" Grace Ashley, do you take Hunter Ally, for your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until death do you part? "
" I do."
Grace looked calm and composed. But she was actually quite emotional. Thinking about her life journey, for the first time she wondered if she was taking the right decision. She liked the wedding. She liked his parents but she didn't know anything about him. So far he looked good but was he really like that?
However, she chooses to believe in herself. She chooses to believe in her destiny. So far, she has never been the one to suffer. She was born with good luck. Even in the worse situation, she always gets rescued. She always gets saved.
So she didn't take long to give her consent and as soon as she said that, the lights came back and joyful music played in the background. A smile swept over everyone's faces. And it was time to lift Grace's veil.
Hunter's hands were a bit sweaty as he felt nervous. He was wearing black gloves. As everyone encouraged, he slowly and nervously picked up her veil. And the moment he saw her, he was stunned.
She was gorgeous. He had honestly never seen a person as beautiful as her. She had an angelic beauty. Her light golden eyes reflected his own face. They looked up at him. They were like the morning sunlight shining on him. He couldn't really describe her beauty.
Finally, when the veil was lifted, Grace got to look at him clearly. She was actually a bit stunned. She knew he was handsome and all but she was honestly not expecting much of this marriage. She wasn't even excited. If anything, she was a bit scared of her decision.
But he was handsome beyond her expectation. And his personality and looks were perfectly her type. She liked men who looked strong and reliable. Of course, she also likes handsome people like everyone else. Moreover, his eyes attracted her instantly.
They were light grey and looking at them made her feel like she entered a new world. They kept staring at each other in a daze. They literally felt sparks between them. They finally got interested in each other and were curious about each other.
The voice of the priest talking about the ring ceremony woke them up. They secretly felt embarrassed but hid it well. Their rings were also custom-made and they were priceless. They were matching. Everything was just beautiful and perfect.
Grace preferred the flat type of ring. So both of theirs were made in that design. In the background, the music band began to play ' A Thousand Years' music. It was warm and really beautiful. Everyone was enjoying the wedding.
The sound of footsteps of the person carrying the rings sounded peculiar to their ears. Lily was the ring bearer. Usually, children would bring them but they had no small children close to them.
Lily wore small heels with a beautiful baby pink gown. She held the pillow in her hands. The rings lay on them. And finally reached them. Grace looked at her lovingly. Hunter's eyes never left hers and when he looked at that warm gaze in her eyes that she had when she looked at Lily, he was again stunned at her beauty.
