Chapter-19
"People have layers, Ali. That's what makes them interesting" Min, my maid had said, while we prepared dinner when my parents were out of town.
I had found her perspective refreshing and new for a little kid. But as she said people had layers and she revealed hers when my mom found out she was sleeping with my dad. My mom blamed me for depending on Min and throwing a tantrum to stay with her.
Regardless of the result, Min's lessons had stayed with me. Thinking of Jin, that was all I could think of.
The previous night hadn't hesitated to help me with Adrien and even went as far as to delete the camera feeds. I wanted to trust that Jin had nothing to do with what happened before Adrien left but it was very hard to do so.
I sighed, placing my head on the computer table, my mind reeling with endless possibilities and worry over Adrien's well-being.
