"What do you mean by he's going to claim your shares?" Lauren asks, pulling him away from the office.
Paul looked around anxiously as he walked out of the office, and a cold sweat ran through his whole body at the thought of Liam standing in his office and claiming every single share he owned as his own.
"I will be left with nothing, Lauren," Paul said, his fear of losing everything he owned flashing in front of his eyes.
"Why would he take everything? What would he do that for? What exactly are you talking about?" Lauren still couldn't understand what was happening, and that was killing her.
"You assured me Peral would agree to everything, so I signed the contract with him." Paul tried to explain to Lauren why he was anxious about this.
"Is this why you were scared of having another man with Peral?" Lauren was unclear of the reason back then, but now it all makes sense.
