Ji Min spotted a few unique species of marine animals swimming in the lake including a few Koi fishes and even some Axolotls which made him heave a pleased sigh that ended in a sweet smile that dazed the twins.
It took a few moments for the twins to snap out of their daze; after all, if there was one upside Ji Min had to point about his reincarnation, it would be the looks on this new body of his.
His body looked like that of an immensely toned warrior which had been chiseled down to the structure of a boy in his early teens despite being only seven years old.
His aura oozed a kind of savagery and cruelty that seemed to be slumbering within a unique tenderness and care.
The expression on his face was ever-changing making it hard for someone to predict his intentions from a single or even several looks.
All of this was also because he was currently suffering from the tranquil poisoning, and one could only imagine what he would look like once he was cured and his normal ruddiness replaced his currently pale skin.
The twins abruptly began to walk a step ahead of Ji Min as they tried to hide their red faces; after glancing at each other and realizing that they were both in the same predicament.
Ji Min was obviously oblivious to their strange reactions and simply tagged along at his own pace, whilst gazing all over the garden hoping that the Old Monk would be able to spot at least one of the herbs or fruits he had sensed earlier.
Sadly, the trio arrived at the entrance of the mansion without Ji Min spotting any one of his targets.
They walked in and what greeted Ji Min was a living room that could also serve as a meeting place for Old Lao and his guest.
Deeper into and behind the living room was a dining area which was veiled by several medicinal flowered vines that fell from the roof.
Little Qing introduced all the areas they entered appropriately, and the dining area was a semitransparent curtain made from a unique kind of silk, and once Little Qing parted them, Ji Min came across three rooms.
"That room beneath the stairs on that far end belongs to Sister Ming, and the one beneath the stairs on this end is mine." Little Qing pointed towards the two staircases that led to the upper floor of the mansion.
"This room right here is where you will be staying from now on." She then pointed to the room opposite the dining area which was larger than the twins' rooms combined.
Ji Min could tell that the room was very spacious and would definitely have everything he needed.
"You can leave with Sister Qing for now; she would explain the rules of the mansion to you and I would have finished preparing your room before you return." Little Ming said from the side.
"Sorry, for the trouble." Ji Min replied before leaving with Little Qing.
"Where is Lord Lao now?" Ji min asked once they arrived outside the mansion, whilst Little Qing pointed upwards;
"The entire upper floor belongs to Lord Lao and it is absolutely restricted to everyone."
Ji Min simply nodded at Little Qing's first warning as they both headed towards the small hut on the left side of the mansion via the little bridge that connected them.
After opening up the hut, Ji Min finally realized where the person who furnished the interior of Old Lao's carriage got their idea from.
Everything in the hut was exactly the same as the carriage except for the type of materials that were used.
There was a study table and chair right in front of them, and to their left within the hut sat a familiar cauldron, whilst on the right was a bed that seemed to be used by Old Lao's patients.
There was a shelf hung on the walls of the hut, and he ran across the entire length of the hut; on them were several potions and pill bottles as well as several scrolls and manuals.
Ji Min knew that he would be frequenting this hut more times than the twins had done so in the same amount of time.
Once Ji Min was done scanning the entire hut, he made to turn around and leave which coincidentally matched Little Qing's intentions, and as a result, they bumped into each other.
"~Ow!~"
Little Qing held her head as she felt like she had bumped into a brick wall due to Ji Min's 2 Star Commander body cultivation which was equivalent to that of an Ancient Asian Army Commander.
She fell backward holding her head failing to use her other hand to brace herself, and just as she was about to bump her head, a strong arm wrapped around her waist, breaking her fall completely.
Opening her eyes, the little girl found herself staring into the most mesmerizing set of eyes she had ever seen.
Since they have met and up until now, she had thought Ji Min's eyes were normal black; heck, everyone had thought it was black, but now that she was only inches away from them, they seemed to be several tiny but dimly glowing swirls and dots within them.
The swirls were rotating ever so slowly, whilst the dots twinkled softly; her eyes were instantly drawn to the cosmic-looking eyes; then through her eyes, her mind was charmed and from there, she almost felt her soul being sucked out of her body.
The little girl felt her body turn stiff for a moment as she was split between the decision of ending their current misleading embrace and continuing to appreciate the magnificent views in Ji Min's soul-sucking eyes.
But nature came to her aid at the right time when Ji Min's stomach rumbled in protest.
~Kroon!~
The roar snapped the duo back to reality as Ji Min helped Little Qing stand on her feet whilst Little Qing covered her tomato-red face with her sleeves and gave a burst of awkward laughter;
"Hehe, it seems we will have to eat breakfast very early today." Little Qing said as the sun was just about rising to its proper position which indicated that it was truly morning.
"Ha-ha; my bad. Is the kitchen close by?" Ji Min asked scratching the back of his head with an awkward chuckle.
"I'm afraid not; the kitchen is down the plateau, on the other side of the grove." Little Qing took flashed Ji Min a glance as if she was worried she might get smitten again.
