Kvass and Imros as well as the bleeding Valpak and Sun arrived on the scene and saw the massive devastation that had just begun to subside.
They stared at the point of impact awaiting the result of Beira's unrestrained attack; especially Belen who was staring at the scene with an anxious gaze; then the moment the violent energy subsided, they all realized that there was nothing left in sight.
Only two floating strands of silky golden hair were left, causing the elder gods to frown at the situation; they knew that Beira's attack, though unrestrained, shouldn't be enough to obliterate demigods, maybe Daniel, but not Yama.
"You fool!" Belen blurted in anger.
"Wait; something isn't right." Beira quickly blurted.
"Belen, calm down. Though Huoyi's arrow is enough to kill a demigod, it definitely doesn't possess the strength to obliterate them entirely; at least his corpse should still be present." Onir explained in Beira's defense.
"I also agree, especially after Beira had caused the arrow to explode, which means the power of the attack has been reduced to cover a wider area." Imros added whilst Kvass simply stared at the situation with a thoughtful frown.
"So how do you explain the situation then?"
Belen demanded, and whilst they were busy trying to discover what had truly happened, a portal suddenly appeared behind Sun as he and Valpak jumped into it.
"No way; that cannot be possible." Imros' eyes widen in disbelief when he saw the portal manifest without a ritual gateway.
"Hahaha; I hope you lot enjoyed destroying my clones." Sun roared in laughter as he summoned his staff which flew over from the distance and entered the portal after Valpak and Sun.
"The sacrifice of a few clones in comparison to delaying all of you is a sacrifice worth paying a thousand times!" He added just before the portal vanished.
It was at that exact moment that the elder gods realized that they had been played.
"I was wondering why the famous celestial demigod seemed so weak earlier; turns out you guys have been fighting him in a weakened state." Imros revealed in a respectful tone.
All demigods, gods, and elder gods knew that whenever someone created a clone of themselves in battle, their battle prowess would drop slightly as they had to share everything they had with the clones.
"Fork! We have been deceived by that hateful monkey!" Belen cursed in fury.
"That explains why the explosion obliterated those two, turns out they were mere clones with little to no strength at all." Beira muttered with a sigh.
"You guys failed to completely consider the abilities of your opponents; Sun Wukong is famously known for his cloning and transformation abilities." Kvass commented.
"So, if those two were Sun's clones, then where are the real Yama and that mortal?" Imros asked.
"Hmph! If you had arrived on time, wouldn't you have seen through his façades!" Belen howled at Kvass with unrestrained fury, but the latter paid her no heed.
"But brother; is it possible for one to open a portal within the void without ritual gateways?" Imros asked as Kvass shook his head.
"Don't you understand it yet?" Kvass replied before explaining.
"It's already obvious that it was Yama who opened the portal from wherever he is, using of a ritual gateway."
The rest of the group frowned at first, before nodding in realization.
"But now that they had gone through the portal, doesn't this mean that all of them are now together?" Onir asked as the rest of the group caught onto his train of thought.
"Beira, find out their location quickly." Belen blurted in an angry tone; she was obviously still pissed that Beira had almost killed her source of divine energy.
"I can't, they didn't use a spatial portal but a void gateway; that sort of transportation erases all hints of the user's soul or energy signature," Beira said with a helpless sigh.
"I initially didn't want to interfere, but I hate it when people use tricks, so I think finding their location wouldn't go against the nature of my strength." Kvass replied as the rest of the group sighed in relief.
"Alright Kvass, whenever you're ready. We all know that no one can hide from your 'Eye of Truth' once you desire to find them."
Onir's statement sounded like praises, but the rest knew he was obviously telling Kvass that they understood how his ability worked; so, saying he couldn't find them would be an obvious lie.
Not that they believed Kvass would lie; after all, that would be going against the nature of his powers, but Onir still pointed it out, just in case.
Kvass simply snorted in derision; obviously, he could tell that Onir's praises were shady.
He simply shut his eyes as a third vertical eye appeared on his forehead, and after a few minutes of searching the entire void, he finally found the location of the group; ironically, it was at the exact spot they had left.
"They are currently at the spot we were meditating at earlier." He revealed as the Belen, Beira, and Onir revealed vicious smiles.
"I knew you would eventually come to your senses." Onir grinned as Kvass scoffed at him.
"I'm still not going to actively participate in this mission, I only helped you this once because I witnessed Sun use tricks in your fight earlier."
"You guys should focus on your mission; try not to fall into their tricks the second time, otherwise where would we put our faces if others found out that not only did five elder gods fail to subdue three demigods, but also fell into their trap and allowed them to escape."
Imros bickered in Kvass' defense whilst the three demigods slumped their heads in shame.
The outcome of their first encounter was truly disappointing, but there were not going to be fooled a second time.
"Don't worry; I don't feel like torturing them anymore, let's kill them on sight!"
Belen replied through gritted her teeth as they all transformed into several beams of light, heading towards Daniel and the three demigods.
