Vail's expression twisted with rage as he completed reassembling his body, his eyes glowing with a malevolent red light. With a roar, he launched himself at Tamaki and Hikaru, moving with terrifying speed. His fists aimed to crush them with each blow, making his intent clear: he wanted to break them.
Tamaki and Hikaru braced themselves, knowing that this blow would probably break several of their bones if not most of them, however, they did not have any other chances.
Tamaki swung his chainsaw in order to block Vail's initial strike. However, the sheer power behind Vail's strike made Tamaki feel as if every single bone in his body was being crushed.
Hikaru took advantage of the opening, darting in and delivering a series of powerful yet rapid punches to Vail's Gut, he wanted to strike the creature's gut over in over again in order to cause it pain.
Each strike that landed was precise, it targeted the weak points in order to disrupt Vail's movements.
Vail snarled, swinging his arm to push Hikaru away, Hikaru however nimbly dodged, rolling to the side and trying to come back into the fray once again aiming to kill him in one single blow.
Vail's frustration grew as he turned his attention back to Tamaki, who had used the moment to reposition.
With a swift move, Tamaki slid the Deadly Pump to the top of his weapon, infusing the chainsaw blade with poison. He pulled the trigger, and a voice announced, "Tactical break," as Tamaki slashed at Vail.
Vail dodged the energy blade but couldn't avoid the follow-up strike from Hikaru, who delivered a flying kick that sent him staggering back.
BADUMP ba-dump ba-dump
The heartbeats grew louder and more ominous, but Tamaki and Hikaru refused to back down. They moved in unison, their attacks synchronized.
Tamaki slashed with his chainsaw, and Hikaru followed up with rapid punches and kicks, the both of them were now moving in synch as if they were born to complement each other.
Vail however did not like their synergy, this was angering him to no end, he felt as if he was being pushed back by a pair of 2 ants, it was infuriating.
Vail's anger boiled over. He roared, the sound reverberating through the air, creating a shockwave that knocked them both back.
As they landed far away from Vail they could feel their body screaming at them to rest, they wanted to but this was not a luxury that Vail would give them access to, unfortunately.
"You think you can stop me?" Vail said, his voice dripping with contempt and anger. "I've faced worse than you and come out on top."
They both gritted their teeth as they heard Vail's message, they knew the demon was not lying and yet they fought.
This did greatly anger Vail but they did not care, as long as they could protect one person...it was fine.
Vail's eyes narrowed, his rage intensifying upon noticing the 2 humans not giving up. He rushed at them again, his fists coated in dark energy.
Tamaki blocked with his chainsaw, the impact sending sparks flying. Hikaru slipped behind Vail and tried to deliver a powerful punch to the back of his head.
The punch landed and Vail roared in anger, spinning around to bitch slap Hikaru, however, Tamaki was not going to let his friend end up like that and intervened by slashing at Vail's side with the poisoned blade.
The battle raged on, each clash growing more intense than the last. Vail's strength was overwhelming and it seemed to be growing by the second, but Tamaki and Hikaru's determination kept them in the fight. They used every trick, every ounce of skill, and every bit of strength they had to hold him back.
However, even that was not wielding much success as they found themself kissing the hard concrete floor a lot more lately.
Vail managed to grab Hikaru by the throat, lifting him off the ground. Tamaki saw the danger and charged, swinging his chainsaw with all his might. The blade managed to bite into Vail's arm, forcing him to release Hikaru.
Hikaru fell to the ground, gasping for air, but immediately rolled away and got back to his feet.
His vision was blurred, his hand was shaking and he could feel the armor protecting his body being weakened.
This was to be expected he had been thrown at multiple buildings and his body had been sent flying to at least 3 schools, the fact that the suit was able to tank the blows of Vail and still remain standing was the main reason he was alive.
Hikaru and Tamaki regrouped, standing side by side, battered but unbroken yet. Vail's expression was one of pure hatred, but there was also a hint of frustration. These two were more resilient than he had anticipated.
"You should have stayed out of this," Vail growled, his eyes gleaming with a lot of fucking malice. "I'll make sure you regret it."
Tamaki and Hikaru exchanged a glance, a silent understanding passing between them. They were fucked no matter how they looked at it.
Vail was beating the ever-living shit out of them.
