Vail's rage reached a fever pitch, his muscles bulging and eyes glowing with an eerie red light. He roared, the sound reverberating through the air, and launched himself at Tamaki and Hikaru with a speed that defied comprehension.
Tamaki raised his chainsaw, aiming a desperate slash at Vail. But Vail's response was almost contemptuous; he slapped the chainsaw aside with a flick of his wrist, sending Tamaki staggering. With his other hand, Vail grabbed Tamaki by the throat and lifted him off the ground, squeezing mercilessly.
Hikaru tried to intervene, launching a series of rapid punches at Vail's side. Vail barely registered the blows. He swung Tamaki like a rag doll, slamming him into Hikaru with bone-crushing force. The impact sent both of them flying through the air.
As they soared helplessly, Vail's fists began to glow with demonic energy. He moved with blinding speed, appearing in front of them in mid-air. With a primal roar, he drove his fists into their chests, each punch infused with dark power. The force of the blows created small craters in their stomachs, the demonic energy searing through their armor and flesh.
Tamaki and Hikaru's eyes widened in shock and agony, the light within them flickering and fading. They crashed to the ground, their bodies broken and bleeding. Blood pooled around them, their breaths coming in ragged, shallow gasps.
Vail stood over them, his expression a twisted mask of satisfaction and fury. "You should have stayed out of my way," he snarled, his voice dripping with contempt. He watched as the life slowly ebbed from their eyes, their bodies twitching weakly before finally falling still.
Tamaki and Hikaru lay on the ground, their eyes staring sightlessly at the sky. Their mission had been a desperate gamble, and in the end, they had paid the ultimate price. But their sacrifice was not in vain; they had bought precious time for others to act, to prepare for the next stage of the battle.
Vail looked down at their lifeless forms, a sneer curling his lips. He turned away, his thoughts already shifting to his next target.
Flashback.
"So you were planning to send them to save Yukimi if she were to get targeted," Miyuki said as if she was trying to make sure she heard his point correctly.
"Exactly!" Aaron leaned back on his chair as he looked at the ceiling of the house, this place weirdly enough felt kind of peaceful.
Funny enough the second he is done with this planet he will be leaving so, he wonders should he do a battle royal for it.
Aaron's eyes went toward the new manga that he had started reading...one piece. This gave him an idea, a very fun idea indeed.
'1 billion yen along with a mansion should be considered a treasure right? ' Aaron thought to himself as the plan unraveled in his mind.
"How sure are you that Vail would attack Yukimi?" Miyuki gazed at his face as she asked that question.
"It's not and if he would attack, it's when Vail wants to hurt Genta, he could try going for the kid, but Ikki would beat his ass, he couldn't go for Daiji before because Gifu was using him, He can't go for Daiji now because Daiji power would allow him to prolong the fight"
"What about Sakura?"
"He can't go after her either as Sakura can stall out long enough for someone else to come and help, plus is kind of a pussy, mentally he tells himself that if Sakura were to go missing, he would have to deal with something he knows he can't handle"
Aaron yawned a bit as his eyes once again went toward Hiromi's pod, the man's eyelid was seen to be twitching every 30 seconds or so.
"That leaves the mother"
"Aren't you a genius!"
She looked rather annoyed at his words but did not say anything, her eyes went toward the buckles that were currently shown on Aaron's screen.
"But why send them on a death mission, you know that those 2 weak humans do not stand a chance against Vail"
"Weak, that certainly a way to call them!"
"It's the truth" Her voice was as cold as ever.
"Being weak is not a sin, not making the effort to get stronger that, that a sin"
"And what?, Do you expect them to suddenly gain a powerup and win"
"Fuck no, they are 100% dying" Aaron's eyes then went toward his watch, it was blinking a green color.
One check at his vital and he found the reason why.
His body had been restored to 100%, it wasn't that good info to know.
"So you sent them to their death" She exclaimed her blue eyes not once leaving his body.
"I came up with this plan while under Ya...no, my own bloodlust, playing this game fairly would result in a loss, so risk needs to be taken, sacrifices must be made...."
Miyuki's facial emotion did not seem to change at all.
Miyuki's eyes went toward the modified Buckle that Aaron had given them.
"Oh!, so this is what you were planning"
"Never said the sacrifices had to be mandatory"
Flashback end.
As Tamaki and Hikaru lay on the floor the life within their eyes dwindled, something changed.
What seemed to be an angelic light seemed to have wrapped around their body, the second that their heart stopped that light came and their heart started beating once again.
The wound in their chest healed making them no longer matching donuts, soon enough their ragged breathing could be heard as their body healed to its fullest.
As soon as the healing was done, the buckle around their waist seemed to lose its color.
