Pov change.
Tasuke was currently seen inside the weekend base looking incredibly nervous, over the past 7 days, Gifu attacks have become more and more brutal.
More and more of their soldiers were being slaughter along wit the fact that they were losing favor with the public.
They had offer a place where the public would be safe, a place where people who didnt want to just bow down to Gifu might could go.
However in the span of 7 short days, everything came crumbling back, their base was now under constant attack by Gifu forces.
They were being pushed back with each and every single battle, it felt as if Gifu legions were endless.
No matter how many of they, they had eliminated a thousand more would show up to continue the fight.
No matter what they did, they were being badly beaten.
Tasuke eyes went toward the currently pretty wounded civilians that were in the middle of receiving first aid, the smell of medicine and alcohol rang heavy in the air.
His nose could also detect the smell of countless herbs.
"Mister Tasuke...we are running out of medicines"
The voice of a distressed nurse was heard saying.
"How much more do we have"
Tasuke wanted to know how much more ressource they had at their disposal before he could make a plan of attack.
"At the rate that we are going, if the situation doesnt stabilize anything soon and the influx of patient keep rising....we will run out in a week"
Upon hearing the nurse words, Tasuke eyes widen, they were seriously that far in the trenches, His eyes then went toward the tablet in his hand.
He looked at the amount of food they had left and made an estimate about how much more food that they had.
Upon checking, he noticed that they only had enough food to last them about a month, same thing with their water supplies.
This situation was looking more dire by the second.
Tasuke took a deep breath, trying his hardest to formulate a plan.
His eyes slowly drifted over the wounded, the weary fighters, and the frightened civilians.
Their survival now depended on him and he couldnt bring himself to fail them.
If he couldnt protect them, they would be nothing more than playtoys for Gifu, and he frankly did not like that idea.
"We need to find a way to resupply," Tasuke said, more to himself than anyone else. "We can't let Gifu's forces break us."
The nurse nodded, her face looking pale but still really determined. "What do you propose, sir?"
Tasuke glanced around the room, trying to find strength from the resilience he saw in his people. "We need to send out scouting parties to find new sources of food, water, and medicine. We can't afford to sit here and wait for help that might never come."
He wrote down a few commands into the tablet, bringing up a map of the surrounding area which was now know overun by a bunch of Gifterian along with some Gifu juniors.
"We'll need to split into teams and search the nearby towns and cities. Anything we can find – food, water, medical supplies – we bring back here."
The nurse hesitated for a second, this plan was way to dangerous, it was like a suicide plan. "But Gifu's forces are everywhere. It's too dangerous."
Tasuke's expression hardened for a second, he knew she was right but he just couldnt stop now, he had to find a way for them to survive.
"I know it's dangerous. But if we do nothing, we're as good as dead. We have to take the risk."
He raised his voice, addressing the room. "Listen up, everyone! We're running low on supplies, and we can't afford to wait. I need volunteers to form scouting parties. We need to find food, water, and medicine. I won't lie to you – it's dangerous out there. But if we don't act, we won't survive."
He managed to gather up some brave soul who were willing to put their life on the line for this mission.
{Intruder Alert...Intrudert alert}
The alarm system inside the base was suddenly activacted as an intruder had made his way inside their base.
Tasuke eyes widen a bit as he heard that, he needed to mobolize the security in order to make sure they got out of this with little casualty as possible
"Everyone, stay calm!" Tasuke shouted above the sound of the alarm. "Security teams, mobilize! We need to neutralize the threat and ensure the safety of our base, if we fall this mean the end. Medics, be ready to assist any injured."
The sound of rushed footsteps and the shuffling of bodies filled the room as the security personnel sprang into action not even wasting a single second.
Tasuke grabbed a nearby communicator in order to direct the teams to the key locations within the base that they could intercept the intruder in.
The base was now a labyrinth of tunnels and rooms, they were designed to be defensible, but that also meant the intruder could be anywhere.
But that was a risk he was willing to take, after Gifu had spent countless days attacking them and it was revealed that Daiji joined the enemy side.....
He had made some changes to the base in order to not make it easy for the enemy to find them.....
With Mister Karizaki slowly dying, he was the one in charge and he would be dam if humanity fall today.
He turned to the nurse who had voiced her concerns earlier. "Get everyone who can't fight to the safe room. We need to keep our non-combatants protected."
She nodded her head, her fear were now replaced with a grim determination, she then begin guiding the citizen to a safe location.
Tasuke's heart pounded in his chest as he made his way to the command center. The screens showed various camera feeds, but it was way to difficult to pinpoint the exact location of the intruder.
The man could be anywhere and no one would be the wiser but for the sake of everyone here, he needed to stay composed and focused. This was a crucial moment, and he couldn't afford to falter.
"Keep an eye on the feeds," he instructed one of the technicians. "Alert me the moment you see anything suspicious."
As the seconds ticked by, the tension in the room was was at an all time hight. Tasuke gripped the edge of the table, he himself didnt realise that he was gripping it so hard that he started bleeding, his mind racing with possible scenarios.
They had to be prepared for anything. The intruder could be a scout, a saboteur, or something far worse.
Finally, a technician's voice broke through the silence. "Sir, we've got movement in sector seven."
Tasuke's eyes locked onto the screen showing sector seven. His breath caught in his throat as he saw a shadowy figure moving swiftly through the corridors. This was it. They were about to face the unknown threat head-on.
Tasuke's eyes landed on the intruder, and his heart sank. It was Daiji. The cameras showed him moving through the base with a cold, hollow expression, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake. He was unrecognizable, a shell of the person he once was.
Sakura, who had just finished helping some civilians evacuate, caught sight of her older brother on the screen. Her heart ached at the sight. This wasn't the Daiji she knew. He looked so empty, so devoid of life. Gifu had drained him of everything that made him human.
Daiji continued his relentless march through the alleyways, mercilessly cutting down anyone who dared to oppose him. Sakura, feeling a desperate need to intervene, was about to rush out when a hand stopped her. She turned to see a familiar dark-skinned individual.
"Hey there, no need to hurry. The show is just getting started..." Aaron said, his grip firm on her arm.Sakura looked at him, eyes blazing with anger. "Let go of me! I have to stop him!"
"Not your job"
"Then whos"
"His"
Sakura struggled against his grip, but before she could break free, another figure appeared on the screen. Ikki."Daiji... stop this..." Ikki's voice was filled with pain as he faced his younger brother.Daiji remained silent, his expression unchanged.
Ikki sighed, resignation in his eyes. He knew words wouldn't reach Daiji. He would have to do this the hard way. Taking a deep breath, Ikki stepped forward, his determination clear."Daiji, I don't know how much of you is still in there, but I won't give up on you. Even if I have to fight you, I'll bring you back."
Ikki braced himself, ready to face his brother. The tension in the air was palpable as the two brothers stood on the brink of a confrontation that could determine the fate of everyone in the base.
