Summer giggled "You look so good in an apron!"
Valentine tried to take it as a compliment knowing how she thought of him, but he couldn't, and his face fell. "I find that hard to believe," he said dryly.
She was starting to get an idea about his low self-esteem when it came to his looks but taking everything into consideration, she both accepted the way he was and planned on healing him slowly, "So, what's chef Valentine making today?"
He placed the ingredients that he had taken out of the fridge on the kitchen island. Then he opened a drawer and searched with his eyes before he picked up the knife that he was looking for.
"Very intimidating," She noted when he started slicing pepper like a pro.
"The knife? Or one of the men in your life cooking?" He said with all the acid he could manage to infuse.
