Chapter 6 - Meeting...

Time passed fast while Temorsth learned the theory of magic and mana usage, and after a month or so on his 1st birthday.

"Son, I know... but we should wait for 1 or 2 more years."

"But... Dad, you said you will teach me..."

"Son, even though you are very talented with Mana, your body can't cope with your strength yet."

"Ugh...fine... I'll wait... for a little longer." Knowing that his father, Xalier, only wanted to help, he accepted despite his dissatisfaction but it was fine he still had much time anyway.

...

"It's almost here, the day is almost here!" Temorsth's 2nd birthday was approaching, and he was very excited, his father had already promised to start teaching him basic martial arts.

He was still a bit too young, but thanks to his Mana and magic, his body grew faster than in his original world, even though he was 2 he looked around 3 or 4 years old.

His parents noticed that he was developing a little too fast but they comprehended it was most likely because he was born with Mana, it wasn't common to be born with it so they didn't have much knowledge about it, and on the other hand, they didn't care it doesn't matter how quickly he grows, it will happen anyway.

"Son."

"Yes, Father?" On the day of his second birthday, his father gifted him a wooden sword.

'This...' Seeing a small window saying status he called in his mind 'Weapon status...?'

[Name: The Child's Sword (Twin)

'Wow...' This was the first time he saw the status of a weapon so he had many questions but the tabs at the end stuck out the most.

'Aidana what is this Stroy tab?'

[Some weapons have a unique story, the greater and more famous or known the story is, the stronger the item will become.]

[Stories are not related to Ranks or Rarities in any way, there can be Legendary weapons without a story, but if the weapon becomes stronger it can and will ascend its Rank and Rarity.]

'Isn't this pretty cool... I never would have thought that weapons can evolve too...'

'Story...' A new window appeared.

[Story: A great father created this variant of the common practice sword after weeks of seeing his son's excitement go unabated.

It fits a small body perfectly which is the representation of the love and care of a great father.

A twin of this sword was created by the father's hands representing his desire to teach his child.]

"Do you like it?" Xalier's voice had a slight up and down, he was expectant of his son's answer.

"Yes, yes I like it very much! Thank you, Dad."

'Skills...' A new window appeared in his line of sight while he talked with his father.

[Skills:

Desires for learning...

The Father's sword...] Further two tabs opened.

[Desires for learning:

Type: Passive

Any activity in the form of training and learning will induce a small Experience bonus with Skill Proficiency, and Mastery type skills.]

'Wow, isn't this super useful?'

[The Father's sword:

Type: Passive

Any movement will be much more easily depicted if the movement was used by The Father's Sword in the last hour, and the movements depicted will be much more easily learned. ]

'This too... I get so many good things... This life of mine... It is much easier than before...'

"Then... can we start Dad?" His thoughts stopped when he saw an identical sword, the only difference being its size, appear from thin air in his father's hand.

"If you want." Xalier's words were bringing forth Tem's excitement even more.

"Yes-Yes, let's start now!" And with it, Temorsth began to train his basic weapon mastery.

All the while his father taught him how to use weapons, his mother taught him even more magical arts.

And since he was forbidden to use Mana to help his small body during this training, he grew muscles that weren't natural for a 2-year-old boy.

...

Months went by and on a normal day, after training.

When the sun was already painting the world orange and red.

"What are these." Looking into his father's hand holding three flasks, that looked like some sort of long-necked bottle made from porcelain or white jade he ask curiously.

"It's Mortal Ranked Body Tempering pills, these will help improve your physical strength. But don't use them much, it's not good to rely only on these as they will weaken your foundation."

Taking the cork plug out, Xalier took one pill out of the bottle, the pill looked nothing much it looked simple in the form of a sphere with greyish colors.

"Uh, how should..."

"Just take it in and swallow, you will feel the power and raw energy start to flow toward it, simply put, try to bind and gather as much as you could."

"..." Temorsth looked at the pill and because he hesitated his father continued.

"It is faster if you try, there won't be a problem even if you don't succeed. Hours of explaining aren't enough to make up for the knowledge you get from one try."

"Uhm, alright I'll try!"

*Ugh...* gulp...*

"If you think you can't swallow it, bite it in two, but don't chew it."

"Umu..." Following his father's words Temorsth bit then swallowed.

"Uhm, it's strange..." It was the first time he experienced something like this, it felt like water and food were pouring into him giving him the energy to act and at the same time consume it to make it work.

'Hunger and thirst... Then the feeling of fullness... It is really strange.'

"Good!" After a minute or so, Xalier extended his hand to help Tem up.

"I don't know if it is good... I couldn't even gather twenty percent of this 'raw energy' thing..."

"I don't know either there is nothing like a goal for this but at the least, I know that you are better than me when I first tried it."

"Really...?" He tried to look up at his father but a big hand grabbed his head. "Uhm..."

"Really!" As Xalier ruffled Temorsth's hair, he answered with a big smile on his face.

...

Two years passed.

In that time Temorsth quickly grew stronger, as his physical strength grew he noticed that his body could handle the leaking of his two energies from the seal...

[Congratulations: The Host's life expectancy has increased by a few months!] Even the system updated its estimation.

'Hm, if I can handle it by simply getting stronger...' This motivated him even more obviously, he wanted to live but not only for himself, he truly didn't want to see this beautiful family fall apart because of his short life.

He didn't want to see them leave each other just because they become afraid of the future and stop trying after one failure.

He wanted to somehow prepare them for his untimely death.

But on the other hand... there were things even he didn't know or expected...

...

Not long after his fourth birthday.

"Uh?" He saw his parents getting ready to leave.

"Son, we have to go take care of some things. We probably won't be back for a few months..." When Xalier saw Tem has come out of his room, he walked up to him and started talking. His voice had up and downs and even unspoken emotions.

"Huh? What...?"

"...but you still have to continue training, even if you are alone don't lose focus! I already taught you the Basic mystery of swords, when we'll come back, I hope we'll see your Beginner Sword Mastery." Xalier diverted his words with the intent to hide his feelings.

"Uh?" Finishing Xalier stepped aside and let his wife speak.

"Baby you know mommy and daddy love you, right?" Crouching down, Elah's long silver hair touched the floor.

As she touched Temorsth's shoulder she looked deep into his eyes.

"Where...?" Temorsth was startled, his mind was in chaos.

"We have to go out but we will hurry back, the golems will take care of everything you need, if you want anything just ask them..." Her eyes become glass-like from the teardrops that formed in them.

'Why, what happened...?' It all felt so unreal and too sudden, Temorsth thoughts were in disarray...

'It must be something really important... but... why are they acting in such haste... we hadn't even talked about it before.'

"I know, I love Mom and Dad too but..." His words were light and confident to hide his confusion but he had to pause for a moment to think it over.

"Where are Mom and Dad going? Can't I go too?" His words were a little shaky, he was worried, and he wanted to stay with them more, even if just a little longer.

Temorsth had enough of being left behind in his old life. He never again wanted to lose track of people he held dear.

"This..." Elah looked up at her husband... As she saw him shake his head she reluctantly turned back.

*Sigh* To gather her strength she took a deep breath before she continued.

"It's really nothing, just a little work, but we'll bring home presents, so don't be sad Sweetie." Her words too had hidden emotions but since she hugged him so tightly that he couldn't breathe, Temorsth couldn't speak up...

After a few seconds, Elah let him go.

"Mommy loves you, more than anything!" She stood up and turned around with tears beginning to fall, seeing this, Temorsth took a step forward...

"...?" But his father's hand stopped him, Xalier looked down at him.

"We'll be back, don't worry son, your parents aren't so weak that you should worry about them!" Hearing those words he looked towards the door.

And as he saw his mother looking back at him he nodded. "I know, and don't worry, I'll be fine." His words were again light without heavy feelings.

"Hmh... Good." Hearing it Xalier nodded back.

"Take care son, and don't forget to train." Closing the door behind himself, Xalier too left the house.

"They left..." Temorsth stood there looking at the closed door.

'They will not come back!' And at that moment a violent, fierce, and intense voice spoke up.

"Hmh..." Since it was a voice he haven't heard in a long time a little surprise appeared.

'They will not come back, they too left us...' *Sob...*sob...* This voice was a sad and weak one, its words were drowned by the crying.

'It has been a long time.' The voice was calm, it had no up and down it was in the middle between the two extremes of the crying and angry voices.

"And it was fine that way." His 'own' voice was with the three.

'It was four years ago, right!? I think you were sad, weren't you!? You, you fucking liar, Persona!'

Persona: 'If you are here where are the others?'

'They didn't come...' *Sob*sob*

"Young master, is there a problem?" A golem in the form of a young maid came to the side of the lone Temorsth, her words sounded with concern even though it was robot-like without much feeling.

"No it's nothing, I'm going to my room."

...

Persona: 'Then why are you here?' The door closed behind Temorsth.

'To warn!' The fierce answered.

'Order said ...' *Sob*sob* The sad one tried to explain, but because the crying drowned his voice the calm one took over.

'Order said that the woman is strong but that man...'

'Not 'that man' he is Xalier! He is strong, I like him!'

'...he said, Xalier is the strongest person we had ever seen.' Even though the calm one was interrupted by the fierce voice, it still fished his words with a slight adjustment.

Persona: 'I know... and? What do you want!?' His 'own' voice started to change with anger.

'He too was scared...' *Sob...*sob...*

Persona: "What?"

'Order said that Xalier was not sure.' The calm tried to explain but was interrupted again.

Persona: "Shut up! I don't care! I'm the face, you can't order me so shut up and go!"

'Looks like someone got mad!' *HAHAHA...*

Persona: "Now!"

*Haha...* With his words, the voices and laughter slowly died down.
