"Sigmund, it's getting dark. Light the campfire." A boy with dark hair told his twin brother with a serious expression.
"On it! You get anything good this time Magni?" A red haired boy replied excitedly, his expression bright like the sun.
"A few beasts were around our camp, I was able to kill and skin them. The meat is in the shed brother."
"Perfect, we can eat dinner today then!"
"Mhm" Magni nodded.
The boys were orphans, abandoned at birth in the belly of the great wood outside of The Zerxes kingdom.
"Blazing Prvidence!" Sigmund exclaimed. As he spoke, a blinding heat escaped his hands and danced across the campfire, lighting it instantly.
"Do you have to shout every time Sigmund." The dark haired twin asked rolling his eyes.
"I'm very proud of this spell I'll have you know. I devised it myself, it's not like we have any teachers out here in the wood. My True Sun magic is awesome so why shouldn't I shout!" The brother replied jokingly.
"I guess you are right there brother; I can only release 15x gravity at my current stage. That wouldn't be anything to a powerful warrior if we ever encounter one."
"Don't talk down on your gravity magic! We got our magic from our parents. Although we don't know if mother or father had Sun or Gravity magic, we know that they both wielded one or the other. If you train more you can increase the amount you can manipulate gravity. So don't be down brother."
"What you say is true, but how could it be our magic is so different? You shine like the Sun anytime you summon your magic while I'm like a black hole that stagnated deep inside the galaxy. We've trained everyday for 16 years and all I have to show is a measly 15x."
"Brother!" Sigmund struck his younger twin Magni across his face.
Startled, Magni stood up and released some of his Kings Aura increasing the gravity by 5x
"I won't fight you today but you must listen! You don't know how much 15x would effect an actual warrior. We have never fought one so you cannot say it is useless without encountering someone truly powerful."
At Sigmund's voice of reason, the dark haired brother released the constraints of his aura and sat back down on the wooden log next to the campfire.
"Sorry brother, I just can't help but think you've surpassed me over the years. It's disheartening training for as long as we did and to not have succeeded the way I want to. I apologise."
"It's alright brother. Remember our covenant; always and forever, family first."
"Yes no matter the situation, I will put you first."
"Good, the beast is ready to eat."
"Mhm"
"…"
"Captain, the troops are ready to enter the great wood. Tell us the mission."
A dark cloaked man in his mid forties sat on a chair facing away from his squad. He wore a black eyepatch and had long black hair.
"Dark Star brigade, today we must find a pair of boys squatted outside the walls of the kingdom. His majesty and the royal advisors think that they could be spy's from the Zeppoth continent. Our mission is to find and capture these individuals for questioning. Do you hear me!"
"YES CAPTAIN" the dark star squad shouted in unison.
"…"
"Magni, should we turn in early tonight? I'm sore from training today."
"Yeah sure."
The twins retreated back to the cabin in the centre of the encampment and decided to turn in early.
"Enemies found, show no mercy and capture them."
The two boys heard the voice of the dark star captain and immediately prepared for combat.
Magni released the full force of his Kings Aura and suppressed the movements of the attackers.
The dark star squad captains eyebrow rose as he suddenly felt the pressure restrain his body.
"True gravity magic?" He whispered.
The cloaked captain circulated mana around his body and broke free from the restraint. His squad members didn't fare well.
"Arghh, what is this!"
The Kings Aura released to its current maximum sent 30 grown men to their knees unable to move.
"Sigmund, scorch them now!"
His brother only nodded and sent a scorching flame toward all 30 attackers. The incoming attack struck immense fear in the hearts of the squad.
"Boreas' Requim." The dark haired man muttered.
The Sun magic instantly evaporated while a horrible attack of concentrated torrents hit both Magni and Sigmund.
The pressure of the gravity released and the dark star brigade members were able to climb to their feet, albeit with a great effort.
"As expected of the captains 'storm magic'!" One of the men exclaimed.
"Peter, carry them. We're heading back, I think things are about to get interesting."
"What do you mean captain?" A tall boy named Peter asked while stowing the twins on his shoulders.
"You'll see soon…"
"…"
The Dark Star brigade made it back brefily after and immediately sought after an audience with the king; Zerxes III.
The black robed captain strode inside the great throne room as soon as confirmation came that he was permitted access.
"Orsted, I assume you've completed your mission?"
"Your majesty, we have acquired some particularly impressive specimens this time. I had the captain of the white lotus read their memories. They are not spies but orphans, victims of the Great War. Both kids wield one of the great ten "True Magic" affinities. Gravity and Sun magic respectively. Please allow the dark star brigade to take them under our wing."
The king remained silent for a while and started at the young captain in front of him.
"Orsted, you realise they could be lose cannons? One step out of line and you know what we must do right? Unless you can guarantee me that you will be able to keep a steadfast hold on the pair, then I cannot permit such a request."
Upon hearing the news, Orsted immediately took the knees and proclaimed that he will keep them under his reign.
"I Orsted Torrents, first of his name, solemnly swear that I will guide the twins without any bias and will make sure they become worthy nights of his majesty's kingdom."
The king smiled.
"It is done. Show me results."
Orsted nodded triumphantly and started for the exit of the hall.
"Wait! As the one who found their encampment and the captain of the blazing Sun brigade, surely I should get my pick out of the twins also?" A red haired man with a sinister smile entered the hall and declared his claim on one of the twins.
"This fucking leach!" Orsted muttered.
The king glanced at Hans the captain of his top brigade and sighed.
"Orsted I-"
"Your majesty, don't explain yourself I understand." Orsted spoke through gritted teeth.
"I apologise but his claim is as good as yours. I must oblige." The king looked back at Hans.
"So who out of the twins would you like might I ask?"
"Of course your majesty, I think it is befitting that my Blazing Sun brigade brought on a true Sun mage wouldn't you agree?" Hans spoke evilly.
"Of fucking course. Hellvití!" Orsted cursed.
"…"
