Later that evening…
Bzzzt Bzzzt
I hope I dodged that bomb. Tatum hoped silently.
He sent Mr Down a text, warning him that Andrew was suspicious about him being an omega but didn't suspect he was male.
*TEXT*Mr Pearce, suspects I'm an Omega apparently he smells Gardenias when I release pheromones. That's impossible.
*TEXT* I'm Recessive, I don't have a scent, am I going to be fired, should I pack my bags?
He texted back immediately; Tatum relax, I can't even really scent you, maybe it's your perfume. You're not being fired.
*TEXT* Sir; I don't wear perfume, and I think I should tell him everything.
*TEXT* No Tatum, I'll sort it out. I'll be there Saturday.
He'll be here Saturday?!
Meanwhile, in Andrew's study.
…
Andrew had started to formulate a suspicion based on his reactions, feelings and emotional state over the last 2 months as well as Tatum's behaviour.
He was calmer, less prone to absolutely lose his shit; he actually went out to a place with people and even when that nasty ass Omega bitch wafted her scent at him he stayed surprisingly together… Because of Tatum.
Should I leave it or should I call Greg?
Decision made...
He had called the Human Species evolution foundation to speak with an old friend whom he knew from university, he was a top specialist in the field of Alpha & Omega evolution.
Good evening Greg Hallet speaking.
"Greg, it's been years." Andrew greeted.
"Good morning Andrew, yes I haven't spoken to you since after your ordeal, If I may ask how are you doing and why are you of all people calling me?" Greg asked confused.
"I'm surprisingly doing better… in the last 2 months specifically" Andrew stated flatly
"Specifically, what do you mean?" Greg queried.
"You know for these last year everything was too much, people smells, noise, I secluded myself with no one around. Even if Jonathan kept trying to throw Doctors and therapists at me." Andrew replied
"Yes, I'm well aware, so tell me what changed, and what does it have to do with me?" Greg intoned politely
"I'm not sure, but I have a hunch that you are the one who might be able to tell me something if what I suspect is right," Andrew said
"I browsed the web last night but the information is scarce even if there is any," Andrew stated
"O-kay, so tell me," Greg said very curious
"I have a few questions depending on the answers I'll tell you more," Andrew said slowly
"First off, do all Omegas smell like cheap perfume?" Andrew asked
"No, not in the least, some have a fresh scent, some smell like perfumes others like the ocean and then there are some that even smell like sweets for example cotton candy," Greg said with a smirk
"Okay, what about no smell?" Andrew queried
"An Omega with no smell?" Greg repeated interestedly.
"Yes." Andrew stated
"Well technically even if they don't smell like anything to me they might smell like something to you or someone else. Let me phrase that better." Greg said
"Each Omega has a distinct pheromone scent, but because we have different types of subspecies with different traits like Alphas and Dominant Alphas and the rare recessive Alphas each Omega smells slightly different to that subspecies.
So me being a normal Alpha, an omega that smells like roses to me could smell to you a dominant Alpha like an Omega doused in concentrated rose oil, so your receptors are a lot more sensitive, the same thing with recessive alphas, they smell only faint pheromones and are usually attracted to the dominant omegas as their scents are stronger.
Now the interesting part is that there are also Omegas, dominant Omega and the very rare recessive Omegas only about 0.1% of all omegas are recessive and their traits are very different compared to normal omegas.
There is also another peculiarity about recessives other than their traits, but let's get back to the scent.
The rare recessives were believed to be scent-less for a very long time, but we have made strides in this research within the last 6 years, those Omegas believed to be scent-less recessives, do actually have a scent and it just works differently than the normal pheromones from other omegas also their traits are very odd and they have some uncanny thing where their fingertips are always cold, also they are very meek and overly motherly.
So to get back to the smell, they do have a scent but only to very dominant alphas and not everyone only 1 in 10000 dominant alphas can scent them and they are usually a compatible pairing of 100 meaning they will always as a pair produce a Dominant Alpha be it male or female, no Omegas or betas will be born from the pairing.
So say I have a recessive omega and a bunch of alphas and dominant alphas, it's in all likely hood possible that not even 1 of the alphas will be able to scent that omega even if they were to excrete in a closed room, on the other hand, 1 or two of the dominant alphas might scent air freshener like smells and then like I said there is a slight possibility that 1 out of all the dominant alphas in a city can actually fully scent that omega and they would be a perfect match." Greg said all this without stopping to ask Andrew if he followed.
"Okay, I hope I understood all that, so tell me this." Andrew sounded surprised. "What would that omega smell like to the 100-match dominant alpha?" He asked curiously
"That my dear friend is always different, we have only had 12 successful pairings in 6 years and each Alpha said they scented something else from their match." Greg intoned
"We went through over two hundred thousand Alphas and we found only 12 matches for the 52 Recessive Omegas we currently know of. In Previous generations before the gene testing law 18 years ago we have no numbers for recessives." Greg stated matter of factly
"Okay so, I know you have a database of all the 2nd genders that are Alpha or Omega, can you look up a name for me to see if that person is an omega?" Andrew asked.
"No, I cannot, not even for you," Greg said with finality
"Although I want to ask you, why you are asking me, have you found an Omega you can't scent?" Greg asked
"I'm not sure if she is an Omega or a Beta, if you can't scent someone they are usually a Beta so she could just be an ordinary person." Andrew sounded a bit confounded
"Then why do you think she is an omega?" Greg asked.
"That's difficult to explain." Andrew stated
"Andrew?" Greg said
"Yes Greg" Andrew replied
"Let me ask you, does being around her calm you down or do you feel aroused when in her vicinity? I know you hate Omegas and their scent but I have to ask. Because even if you can't scent a recessive omega their pheromones still affect your brain and body" Greg queried curiously.
"I know that that's the main reason I called you." Andrew said
"But I don't know if I scent her, when I'm around her I usually don't smell anything but I'm calmer and even when I do totally lose myself in anger I calm down within minutes or if she is close even seconds, and yes Greg she turns me on like crazy. But it's not the type of crazy usually associated with rut it's something more." Andrew sounded frustrated.
"So you've never scented her?" Greg asked
"I might have, every now and then my house smells like Gardenias and freshly cut grass but it's gone within a minute or two even seconds, of me smelling it," Andrew replied
"That's odd, unless…" Greg's words drifted into silence.
"Unless?" Andrew asked quickly
"Well, unless you have an even rarer Omega in your house." Greg sounded amazed
"What do you mean by that? There is another type of Omega?" Andrew was dumbfounded.
"Yes, but I only know of 2 in existence" Greg sounded excited now.
"Hmmm, I'm all ears" Andrew replied.
"They are classified as controllers." Greg stated
"Controllers?" Andrew asked
"They are the rarest subspecies of our human evolution; controllers are so rare that in the 100 years of the Alpha and Omega evolution, only 6 have ever been confirmed. And only 2 are known to be in existence currently.
They are always Recessive Omegas and they have special traits and the ability to manipulate anyone even Betas with their pheromones yes they excrete no scent normally as I explained but they also can control their production and excretion and vaporise or disperse their scent in moments by neutralising it with another chemical excretion.
Controllers have 3 pheromone glands whereas all other evolution species have only one.
Neutralisation pheromones can nullify any other evolution species' emission even the most dominant Alpha and Omega pheromones.
Seduction Pheromones but, theirs work differently they can control the level of seduction meaning they can if they choose either make you slightly aroused or go into a rut in an instant. But note they only have this effect on their 100 compatibility match. Meaning they can't seduce anyone else with pheromones only their fated pairing.
Lastly, they have emotional control pheromones meaning they can control anyone's emotional and physical response to a point." Greg again spoke without stopping.
"Let's use an example," Gregg said.
"Please do." Andrew Accented.
