To get to know her better, Jonathan decided to invite her for coffee.
Luckily, there was a small cafe near the park, so they didn’t have to walk a lot.
Before ordering, he asked her what she wanted and he was surprised, that they both like same the beverage.
„Two large caramel macchiatos, please“, Jonathan ordered.
Meanwhile, he was waiting for the drinks, and the girl silently went away, searching for a free table.
Happily, he took the served coffee, not knowing she disappeared.
The moment he turned around, he immediately got confused, wondering where she went.
Worriedly, he was looking at his surrounding, but then from afar, Jonathan saw her waving crazily cute at him.
He couldn’t help but smile, also feeling relieved that she was alright.
On the way to their table, he was wondering, how she could find such a nice place to seat.
Their location was more at the back, less people were around, so no one could disturb them.
Jonathan placed both of their drinks on the table.
Suddenly, he can’t help but feel a little bit nervous.
„How should I start the conversation?“, he asked himself.
Then, her voice interrupted his thoughts.
„My name is Rachel. Nice to meet you“, shyly she said, her cheeks getting red.
Taken aback by the sudden introduction, he apologized for being weird.
Instead of giving him a questioning look, she laughed at him for being cute.
„You and weird? Actually, I thought I am the weird one here because I didn’t introduce myself at the park.“, she said.
The guy just shook his head in disbelief.
„If I was you, I wouldn’t say my name to a weird stranger either. I completely understand.“
Both of their nervousness disappeared, now having a chilling conversation.
Rachel works as a customer service representative.
What she does is, work in an office and take phone calls, helping the customer.
Jonathan is really curious about, what her interests are and what she thinks about certain topics.
Their conversation was mostly him asking her questions and she didn’t mind at all.
Actually, she felt flattered that someone was interested in what she liked.
Out of respect, he didn’t ask her sensitive topics such as, when she got blind.
They were in such a deep conversation, the sky is starting to get darker.
As he noticed that, he decided to call it a day and meet for another day.
Jonathan and Rachel have to spend around two hours in the cafe, not paying attention to the time.
Since it was getting dark outside, he wanted to make sure, she would get home safely.
In front of the cafe, they exchanged phone numbers and then parted ways.
After they gave each other their number, they couldn’t stop texting each other.
Sadly, both of them couldn’t find a day to meet up again.
Since they have a lot of work to do, it was difficult to spend time together.
In the beginning, it was sad that it was mostly for her to cancel the plans, but he understood her situation and waited for the right time.
If they had a small break, they would text how the other person is doing, making each other's day.
Time passes and they got closer and know each other better.
It took him a while to understand his feelings towards her.
Deep inside of him, he knew, that from the start he already has a crush on her.
The moment she passed by and when they met again, his heartbeat went crazy and he acknowledged that.
For him, it was just new that he would feel that type of way.
With that feeling, he felt really productive and suddenly inspired to write a song.
That was a big deal for him since it would be his first time writing a real song.
He was the type of person to just do covers and try to improve his voice.
Even though Jonathan was comfortable and confident with his audience, he wasn’t brave enough to show what he is really capable of.
In his spare time, he would write some lyrics now and then, but he would immediately throw them away.
His mind tells him, that his lyrics aren’t good enough to be out in the world.
The lack of meaning and perfect vocabulary are bothering him, so he just gave up.
He tried on ignoring these thoughts, but the more he tried, the more he gets nervous.
Jonathan should trust himself more and be confident about what he is also passionate about, which is arranging songs.
He enjoys rapping very much and although he doesn’t want to admit it, writing lyrics also.
The fear to disappoint his audience was bigger than his confidence in composing songs.
But this time he wants to try and challenge himself.
Motivated, he went inside his working room and decided to make a song.
Near his monitor, there was already a notebook and a pen, waiting to be used.
He had a lot of inspiration and he was convinced that he will do it this time.
Unexpected by his own mind, he got anxious, making him lose his focus.
„Do you really think your lyrics are good? Even an elementary kid can write better than you!“
Afraid to write a word, he put his pen away and decided to take a deep breath.
More thoughts came by, almost making it impossible to write anything on his notepad.
„Everyone will laugh at your poor words of choice!“
„Your fans will make fun of you, they will leave you and forget about you!“
„Forget this and stick on doing covers, buddy!“
Again, he took a deep breath and tried to blend all the voices in his head away.
Then a fan art that was hung on the wall, stood out, interrupting his thoughts.
To this day, this art managed to always calm him down.
With a smile, he tried his best to shrug these horrible remarks away, and he did it.
He focused on, what inspired him to make a song in the first place and that was Rachel.
Words, sentences, verses, he was really into writing lyrics, and he managed to finish half of his song structure.
Proud of himself, he stood up to just leave the room and get a glass of water.
As he got back, his phone made a sound, knowing he received a notification.
Nonchalantly, he went towards his device and as he read the message that he got, he was close to dropping the glass.
„Hey I got a week off, wanna hang out and come over?“
