CHAPTER 87 – Claire Meets Pearl
Once Pearl had eaten to regain her strength, they set out in the evening and made their way to the village.
Due to the fact that Zale removed the barrier when he went hunting in the first place, Kye got an opportunity to leave the forest before they did and went into the village.
Neither of them was bothered by the other, but Kye kept a close watch on the path he took out, waiting to see if Zale would come from there.
Unknown to him, Zale and Pearl took a different route into the village and when they arrived at the marketplace with their cloaks on, they found no Fearghal's men lurking about.
His eyes squinted at the thought. It meant something was up and not just because he had defeated a lot of Fearghal's men.
Left to Zale, that alone should have provoked the latter into wanting to kill him but now it was free.
As calm as when he first came to the village.
