CHAPTER 40 – Betrayed
Following Fearghal's order, some of the men were sent to Pearl's home to stake out.
Taking into consideration that someone or friends may visit the house to greet the owners, Leo had them bury Lux and Lotus at the back of the house and clean the blood stains in the house.
Not only that, they indeed find a trail but by the time they got to the T-junction, their confusion further increased when they did not see any of the blood trails again.
Confused the men returned to Leo, giving their report and awaiting his suggestions.
"Without being told, you know what to do. Share the men with you in three. Each group should take one of the routes and search properly."
"Yes sir."
Also, I need some men staking out various places in the market. No matter how much he hides, he is bound to come out. And when he does, I want us ready to catch and slay him."
