At this point anything she could do or say to have this woman leave Cairo, she would.
When she heard her say she was going to reopen the very wound that almost killed her brother, Claire was no longer concerned with her life.
Just as she had expected, the witch sent her furious gaze in Claire's direction, silencing her instantly.
"Do you wish to choke on your tongue?"
"Stop it, please. You seem to know more about what happened than we do. We have told you all we know. Shouldn't that be enough for you to let us go?" Cairo inquired.
"My oh my, you two keep surprising me. So, what if I already know the story behind this?"
"Then you should leave. You have caused enough trouble as it is," Cairo spat out.
"Cairo," Claire called out in a low voice. "Please stop."
