Ramiel that was flying over the ocean noticed that he was far away enough from prying eyes. "Alright, I guess I can use this now." Ramiel concentrated and an obscene amount of Mako pulsed with him as the epicenter.
Suddenly, blue jets of fire escaped from his feet and palms, accelerating him to at least mach 50. He immediately cast a strong barrier in front of him. As small debris that can hit him will be stronger than high caliber bullets due to the speed.
"Woohooo!" Ramiel felt alive and he was sure that he would be arriving in Midgar in a couple of minutes.
And after a quick flying session he saw Midgar that was rapidly closing in. Ramiel stopped at the skies of Midgar and breathed in some air. "Ahhh, I love the smell of pollution in the morning."
Taking out his phone from his storage, he immediately called Lazard for the items that he requested.
Ramiel waited at the rocky desert of Midgar. Taking out a small tent in the middle of nowhere. He sent Lazard the coordinates and the director of SOLDIER sneakily stole some items from Shinra, mainly metals and electronics.
"Ahhh, at least I could relax a bit here." Ramiel took out a beach chair and wore sunglasses. Drinking some ice cold juice to beat the blistering heat.
After some time, a retinue of massive trucks arrived at his location. A car in front was the first to arrive and Lazard exited the car.
He deadpanned at Ramiel who was relaxing like no one's business. "Why the hell are you here with a beach chair and umbrella? You know what? Nevermind, I don't even wanna understand you." Lazard sighed heavily and thought that the genius mastermind that was planning the fall of Shinra was too, unique.
"Why are you so serious Lazard? You'll definitely grow old quickly if you're that grumpy all the time." Ramiel sipped his juice and Lazard glared at him.
"Here's the items you wanted." Lazard pointed at the trucks that began to arrive. "Hoh? Let's check the goods then." Ramiel gave a grin and Lazard handed him a file that constituted the supplies he managed to get.
"I wasn't able to get much. But the most important one is at least ready. You're pretty amazing, managing to design such small reactors that could output that much energy." Lazard was in awe at what he was able to do while doing other projects simultaneously.
"What can I say? I'm a man on a mission." Ramiel shrugged and Lazard was curious what he will do with such an amount of electronics and metal.
"What are you planning with those anyways?" Lazard was baffled. He couldn't quite imagine what will need such large amounts of precious metals like Adamantite, orichalum, and mithril.
"It is for a weapon, I've read a lot of things in the manor of Nibelheim. And Mobile weapons that can easily annihilate a city are badly needed for later. You could say that I'm making the precursor for a flying fortress." Ramiel checked the amounts of components he received and clicked his tongue.
"Damn, this isn't nearly enough Lazard. You have failed me." Ramiel exaggerated and he rolled his eyes at him.
"Of course I won't be able to give you large amounts of precious metals. They're precious for a reason. Here, these are veins that Shinra has found. Though they couldn't give the resources to mine. The Wutai war needs a lot of it after all." Lazard tossed him a map.
"Thanks bud, I know I could count on you. And one more thing, I need SOLDIER 2nd class to man the ship. People that are proficient in magic are needed." Ramiel added, he showed Lazard the blueprint for the ship and he was stunned.
In normal battleships, massive explosives were needed to propel the ammo. But that's a really bad idea. Just like how a lot of them exploded from the inside because of bombs hitting their supply of explosives.
So they'll be using firaga spells for propulsion and SOLDIERs were the only ones with enough control of their Mako for precise and accurate shots. Then they'll slowly phase it out for railguns after more extensive testings.
"You're goddamned crazy. These things will be a menace. Nearly indestructible, Wutai has no chance if you manage to build this." Lazard got anxious at Ramiel's plans. Creating weapons of war that are accurate even at miles away.
"Umu, of course I am. They won't have any funny ideas with one of these being anchored at the nearby islands." Ramiel smirked and Lazard gulped. 'He's too damned cautious.'
"Hah, I can't stop you. Go on then, create whatever you want. SOLDIER has been receiving tons of money from your businesses. We're able to give a lot to new recruits because of you." Lazard sighed and thought he could do whatever he wants with his money.
Ramiel laughed and patted him on the back. "Don't worry man, we won't be using this on unsuspecting cities or something. If they behave that is." He smirked and Lazard shook his head in disbelief.
"Anyways, thanks for all of these." Ramiel stored the large containers of the trucks into his inventory and Lazard's eyes almost bulged out of their sockets.
"What!? You can do that? That's revolutionary..." Lazard was shocked and Ramiel laughed at his expression.
"Later then, we'll probably meet again after the war has concluded. Wutai is tough, not that we're actively participating in the war anyway." Ramiel shrugged and flew to the skies. Leaving a speechless Lazard.
And somewhere else, Vincent who was travelling to Midgar on foot was continuing his march tirelessly. He quickly found out that using his chaos form made him unstable. And he couldn't keep it up for long anyways.
So he travelled by foot and it took a lot of time for him to arrive at Midgar. He could already see the signature Mako reactor and plate of the place. But he heard the sound of shockwaves in the sky and saw something flying like a comet. Tracing blue lines in the sky.
"Is that a jet? That thing is travelling really quickly." Vincent thought it was interesting. But he paid it no mind after looking at the flying object for a few seconds.
"I need to get to Midgar. I've already wasted a lot of time." Vincent quickened his pace as he wanted to know if his twins were at Midgar or not.
